Not long to go now !!!
Only a couple of hours until the red carpet shows begin.
I am actually very curious to see who is presenting the different awards.
And wondering if I will be able to stay awake til the end . . .

5 Oscars: Best Picture. Best Actor Kevin Spacey. Best Director Sam Mendes. Best Original Screenplay. Best Cinematography.
Lester Burnham (Kevin Spacey) is a depressed suburban father who is suffering from a mid-life crisis. His wife Carolyn (Annette Benning) can’t stand him and his daughter Jane (Thora Birch) thinks he is a loser. Lester begins to have an infatuation with Angela (Mena Survai), Jane’s friend. This causes Jane to “hate” her father even more.

Some pictures from the arrivals to the 2009 Independent Spirit Awards.

This has just made the whole Independent spirit awards so much better. First Mickey wins and now “The Wrestler” has picked up best feature and rightly so. It was a fantastically drawn together film, which deserves so much recognition. Yes I really do love this film, who knows maybe it is more joint spot for my favorite EVER film with “Million Dollar Baby”.
Another awards show and yes another best actor award for Mickey Rourke. I am so happy :-). He totally deserves all the awards he already has and definatly deserves the Oscar tomorrow night. So *fingers crossed* it all goes to plan and he has the Oscar in his hands.
The day before her fate at the Oscars will be sealed. Penelope Cruz has just picked up the best actress in a supporting role for her performance in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”.

So not long to wait now, to see if Penelope will have another award in her hands tomorrow night.
James Franco won the best supporting actor award for his role in “Milk” totally deserved it in my opinion his performance was fantastic.
Missed posting a quote yesterday. So here is today’s, from “The Bucket List”.
“You measure yourself by the people who measure themselves by you.”
Incredible to see that “The Dark Knight” has reached the $1 billion mark on the worldwide box office. I bet studio bosses were not expecting it to be as successful as this as “Batman Begins” didn’t make anywhere near as much as 1 billion dollars.
Batman movie The Dark Knight has taken more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office, making it the fourth highest grossing film of all time.
The action movie, starring Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger, was an instant success when it was released last summer.
And now it has taken more than $1 billion in movie theatres – including $533.1 million (£372.8 million) in U.S. cinemas, and more than $468 million (£327 million) overseas.
Titanic remains the highest grossing film of all time, with takings of $1.84 billion. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is second with earnings of $1.12 billion and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is third with $1.07 billion.
