DiCaprio Auctions Premiere Package For Climate Charity

Awwww Leonardo really does do a lot to try and help out the environment !!!

Leonardo DiCaprio is auctioning tickets to the premiere of his next movie to raise money for a climate change charity.

The highest bidder will get whisked to the screening of Shutter Island in an eco-friendly car, pose with DiCaprio on the red carpet and spend the night in a green hotel.

The venue will be announced ahead of the auction, which kicks off on Earth Day, 22 April.

DiCaprio says, “By bidding on these items at ebay.com/globalgreen, people will help Global Green combat climate change and pursue important environmental imperatives, such as greening our nation’s schools, housing, cities and more.”

Film Version of Spring Awakening

As you may now know, I am a massive musicals fan. So the announcment that a new musical is going to be made, always goes does well with me. So recent tony award winning show (opening in London’s West End very soon, after a successful off West End preview) is going to be made into a movie. Thats very good I would say.

Terminator Salvation director McG, who got his start behind the camera on music videos, is in talks to direct and produce a film adaptation of the Tony-winning rock musical Spring Awakening. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he’s developing the project with original book and lyrics writer Steven Sater, who worked with musician Duncan Sheik to create the reimagining of Frank Wedekind’s controversial 1891 play. The story centers on a bevy of male and female students coming of age, and explores homosexuality, S&M, loss of virginity, masturbation, and suicidal tendencies.

The Sound of Music (1965) Review

“The hills are alive with the sound of music, with songs they have sung for a thousand years.”

When Maria a nun leaves the convent to become a governess to the seven children of Captain Von Trapp, she never expected to fall in love with him. A truly incredible musical that really does have so many incredible musical numbers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Ugly Truth (2009) Posters

So just the poster’s make me really want to see this movie. I have not even viewed the trailer yet (something I will do asap and get it posted on here). Every woman in the world has to love Gerard Butler, he is just so hot and I am sure everyone was in love with him in P.S. I Love you . . . he was just great.

But by the way that these posters are set up, looks like its hitting the truth of where a man and where a woman’s heart is from . . . . maybe I have the wrong idea???

Fighting (2009) Poster 2

The other day I found a second poster for “Fighting” and thought I would share it. I think I prefer the other one which just has Channing Tatum on it.

DiCaprio Warns Efron Against Drug Use

I think thats nice that Leonardo was looking out for Zac by asking him questions and giving him some advice.

Leonardo DiCaprio has warned fellow actor Zac Efron to avoid taking heroin if he wants to enjoy a lasting career in Hollywood.

High School Musical star Efron met the former teen heartthrob at a Los Angeles Lakers basketball game last year, and the actors later sat down to get better acquainted over lunch.

And Efron insists it was a valuable meeting – because the Titanic star doled out indispensable advice about how to avoid the trappings of fame.

Efron tells GQ magazine, “I thought I was gonna ask him questions. He ended up asking me questions, and in that, he told me a lot.

“He said, ‘There’s one way that you can really f**k this all up. Just do heroin. If you steer clear of that, the other obstacles you’ll be able to navigate.’ And that makes sense, dude.”

And the 21-year-old is taking heed of DiCaprio’s instruction, choosing to abstain from drugs and only drinking alcohol in private.

He adds: “(I drink) behind closed doors. I wasn’t programmed by Disney. It’s common sense. If you’re gonna be drunk with your friends, don’t get wasted at the Chateau Marmont and hook up with some famous chick. It’s not rocket science.

“I don’t want to be famous for my personality. If anything, I keep that under wraps.”

News: Byrne: ‘Theatre Is Dead’

I really hope they do something to prevent Theatre dying out, maybe making it a little bit cheaper will help. And maybe more publicity to younger people?

Irish actor Gabriel Byrne is convinced theatre will die out – because the audiences are too old.

The Usual Suspects star has appeared in several productions, including a starring role as King Arthur in Camelot in New York last year.

He has also received numerous accolades for his onstage performances, including an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actor in a Play for 2005’s A Touch of the Poet on Broadway.

And it was during his run in the show that the 58-year-old decided theatre-goers were a dying breed.

Byrne says, “I looked out into the audience and the theatre was packed with well-to-do, white-haired people.

“After the show I turned to one of the other actors and said, ‘Theatre is dead. There’s no one under 60 out there, they’re all white and they can all afford £200 for a night.’ Seriously, theatre as we’re doing it now, is dead.”
