News: Pattinson’s Classroom Hell

Awwww poor Robert. I am guessing he is in a much better place than all those bullies now !!!

Robert Pattinson was bullied at school – and the experience left him scarred him for life.

The Twilight star attended school in London, but was picked on by other kids.

The star coped by rebelling against the rules – and he was eventually expelled for his naughty behaviour.

Pattinson says, “Someone stole my shoelaces once from my shoes. I still wear them and never put laces in them – they’re like my trademark shoes now!

“I got expelled from my school when I was 12 – I was quite bad. I never ever did my homework. I always turned up for lessons as I liked my teachers but my report said I didn’t try very hard.”

News: Doubt Stars Cut Through Tense Scenes With Cooking Chats

I love reading stories of how different actors deal with doing scenes and stuff like that. Plus this is about Meryl !!!

Doubt stars Meryl Streep and Viola Davis found a little light relief in between takes of their harrowing scenes in the film by talking about bad feet and food.

Streep’s stern nun character had to break it to Davis’ worried mum that she thought her son was being abused by a priest – and the scenes between them helped both actresses earn Oscar nominations.

And now Davis reveals the two stars were anything but serious in between the tears and the tension.

She tells WENN, “We talked about cooking! I really thought about it too. I was thinking, ‘I’m with Meryl Streep, I could ask her about Sophie’s Choice and Out of Africa and A Cry in the Dark. I could tell her I love her! And we’re talking about cooking!’

“At one point, she said, ‘How are your feet, by the way? Do you have good feet?’ I said, ‘My feet are pretty good. How are your feet?’ And she said, ‘Oh, my feet are terrible. Do you want some chocolate?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I want some chocolate.’ That was our conversation.

“I think it’s because what happens when you’re shooting a scene is the natural rapport of what your characters are going through extends into real life. And, with our characters, it’s kind of tense and we were a little tense with each other, but I kind of like her.

“My character, Mrs. Miller, thinks Sister Aloysius is a bit of a bulldog, but we would have a casual relationship if it weren’t for this confrontation, so I think it naturally happened that we talked about feet and cooking!”

News: Caine Faced Gay Jibes After Admitting Acting Ambitions

Awww that just shows that for men being an actor carries a gay connotation. Which I can sympathise with as loving sport and playing football (soccer) as a female makes people assume that I am gay, which I am not.

Sir Michael Caine faced a family backlash when he told them he wanted to be an actor – because his relatives presumed he was gay.

The Zulu legend was worried about telling his traditional family he had dreams of becoming a film star, but didn’t expect his sexuality to come into question.

He remembers, “That’s what we thought actors were – all poofs (gay). And sometimes we were right.”

New Moon ‘Halted Over Lawsuit’

OOOO no this is not good. We want more Edward Cullen (even though he isnt in New Moon that much). I hope this all gets sorted out. Why is it when someone has success with books or even a movie, some random person likes to claim they had the idea. Well I am sure a lot of people have similar ideas but never do anything about it . . .

Twilight sequel New Moon has been thrown into jeopardy – author Stephenie Meyer is facing a plagiarism lawsuit over the vampire franchise, according to reports.

The original 2008 movie – starring Robert Pattinson – was a major international hit and has spawned a follow-up which is currently being shot in Canada. The film franchise is based on the popular book series, written by Meyer.

But production on the second film has reportedly been halted following claims Meyer is facing legal action from her former college roommate, who is said to have accused the writer of basing the novels on her ideas.

According to I’mnotobsessed.com, Heidi Stanton – who studied alongside Meyer at Brigham Young University, Utah – claims the vampire books are similar to a short story she wrote when she was a student there.

Stanton filed her lawsuit against Meyer in Utah last Tuesday, alleging idea infringement.

She states in the papers, “Quite frankly, I was shocked when I began watching the movie with my husband last week. I immediately told him that she got that idea from me! I wrote a fictional short story with the same ideas when we were in college together.”

Meyer claims the premise for the popular series came to her in a dream in June 2003 and she completed the first novel three months later.

And the legal battle has reportedly cast doubt on the highly-anticipated New Moon, with production being “put on hold” until the case is resolved, according to the website.

New Moon is scheduled for release at the end of the year.

Damon Turned Down Star Trek

Not a fan of Star Trek really, but quite suprised Matt was thought of for the role. He obviously wasnt feeling it and didnt do the movie haha.

Director J.J. Abrams has confirmed he originally approached Matt Damon to take on the role of Captain Kirk in the new Star Trek remake – but the actor turned him down.

The space age franchise originally featured William Shatner as the heroic starship captain, but the veteran stars from the first films have been replaced with a younger cast for the upcoming prequel.

And Lost creator Abrams admits Damon was his first choice for the starring role of Kirk – but he is glad to have been given the chance to subsequently hire little known star Chris Pine.

He tells America’s Life magazine, “I actually approached Matt and we had some discussions, but everything happens for a reason. On the one hand, it would have been great to work with Matt – but at the end of the day, it was such a better move to cast the movie with unknowns.”

The rest of the cast is also made up of lesser known actors, including HeroesZachary Quinto as Spock and Simon Pegg as Scotty.

And Abrams is convinced the casting will help make the characters more believable.

He adds, “It is fun to discover the stars of tomorrow, but even more so, just like with the first Star Wars, you didn’t know who those people were when you saw the movie. You believed that guy was Luke Skywalker. You didn’t recognise him from six other movies. You bought into who this guy was. It is a slippery slope when you cast any actor that is somewhat known. We weren’t beholden to any fame meter.”

Star Trek is due for release next month.

Jackman’s Shock At Waiter’s Tattoo Tribute

I am liking the random Hugh Jackman stories that have been appearing over the past few days. This must have been very strange and freaky for him !!!

Hugh Jackman was once surprised by a superfan waiter in a restaurant – who stripped off to reveal a tattoo of his X-men character Wolverine.

The Australian actor was enjoying a meal at an upmarket eaterie in New York when a server approached his table.

But instead of taking the star’s order, he shocked the star by whipping off his shirt to reveal a tattoo on his back depicting the superhero.

Jackman says, “He took his shirt off in the middle of the restaurant and I saw the guy’s back was covered with a tattoo of my character, Wolverine.

“I run into Wolverine groupies all over the place from convention-goers to custom officials.”
