Thai Officials Ban Rogen Film

This has really amused me soooooo much. Especially as Zack and Miri, is such a mickey take off porn films, hahaha.

Seth Rogen‘s raunchy comedy Zack And Miri Make A Porno has been banned in Thailand – because officials fear it will lead to a spate of copycat movies.

Distribution company M Pictures launched an appeal after the country’s National Film Board outlawed the controversial comedy earlier this week (begs20Apr09).

A panel was set up to hear the case but after viewing the film, censors upheld the initial ruling and confirmed the ban will remain in place.

Explaining the decision, Culture Ministry permanent secretary Vira Rojpojchanarat says, “The screening of this film may encourage copycats here.”

Officials at the National Film Board said the ban was initially introduced because the movie’s sexual content was against Thailand’s “moral principles”.

Slade Signs As Eclipse Director

Third installment is on the go already 🙂 YAY !!!

The cast of the Twilight franchise are in for a scary ride when filming starts on the vampire series’ third outing Eclipse – horror moviemaker David Slade has been signed to the project.

Speculation over the director of the third bloodsucking movie has been rife over recent months, with Drew Barrymore and Juan Antonia Bayona both being linked to the coveted position.

Catherine Hardwicke broke records with her take on Twilight, while Chris Weitz is currently in charge of the forthcoming sequel New Moon.

But bosses at film studio Summit and author of the books from which the films are adapted, Stephenie Meyer, have given the green light for the third picture, Eclipse, to take a more sinister twist – by hiring scare master Slade.

The director is famous for his dark films, including Hard Candy in 2005, and has already worked with the vampire genre – directing 2007’s critically acclaimed 30 Days Of Night.

And Meyer is adamant Slade is the right guy for the job: “I am thrilled that David Slade will be directing Eclipse. He’s a visionary filmmaker who has so much to offer this franchise.

“From the beginning, we’ve been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the Twilight Saga, and I’m so happy that Eclipse will be carrying on with that tradition.”

Dunst A Doubt For Spider-man 4

I bet she regrets the previous 3 she has done, as they are not really the best . . .

Spider-man may have to swing into action without his leading lady – movie bosses are still battling to persuade Kirsten Dunst to sign up for the fourth installment of the superhero franchise.

The 26 year old has starred in all three Spider-Man films as Mary Jane Watson, opposite leading man Tobey Maguire.

But while Maguire has confirmed he will appear in the fourth and fifth films in the franchise, Dunst is still pondering whether to rejoin the cast.

Director Sam Raimi says, “I’m hoping that she is going to come on board and I’ve got a meeting coming up with her. I think she would like to but I don’t want to speak on her behalf.”

While a source tells Britain’s Daily Express, “It had been presumed that Kristen would sign up for the fourth but she’s still not agreed. She needs to be assured that the story is going to be a strong one, in terms of her character. The films clearly wouldn’t be the same without her.”

Miley Cyrus – The Climb

This is slowly becoming my song of the moment. I can totally relate to the lyrics of the song and find it inspiring for that reason.  (It is from the Hannah Montana Movie, so I really want to see it even more now. Yes, I know I am sad that I really want to see the movie and love the TV show).

Lyrics

I can almost see it.
that dream I’m dreaming, but
there’s a voice inside of my head, tellin’
you’ll never reach it
every step I’m takin’
every move I make
feels lost in no direction,
my faith is shakin’
but I gotta keep tryin’
gotta keep my head held high

There’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
always gonna be an uphill battle
sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
ain’t about how fast I get there
ain’t about what’s waitin’ on the other side
it’s a climb

The struggles I’m facing
the changes I’m taking
sometimes they knock me down, but
no I’m not breaking
I may not know where, but
these are the moments that
I’m gonna remember most
I’ve just gotta keep goin’, and
I gotta be strong
just keep pushing on, but

There’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
always gonna be an uphill battle
sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
ain’t about how fast I get there
ain’t about what’s waitin’ on the other side
it’s a climb

There’s always gonna be another mountain
I’m always gonna wanna make it move
always gonna be an uphill battle
sometimes I’m gonna have to lose
ain’t about how fast I get there
ain’t about what’s waitin’ on the other side
it’s a climb

Keep on movin’
keep climbin’
keep faith baby
It’s all about, it’s all about
the climb
keep the faith, keep your faith, woah

I really do think a song like this to be in Hannah Montana is very good for the young girls who watch it. It should inspire them to keep going in life (yes that may sound a bit dramatic, but I mean more when they get older and listen to the song again and actually understand what the lyrics mean rather than just listening to singing along because its a Miley song. But I will hopefully find out how it is in the movie, I’m kinda guessing when she has to choose between her two lives? I will find out if I am right at some point. 🙂
