Patrick Swayze has something else to live for as he battles killer pancreatic cancer – he’s to be honoured for his dance moves.

The Dirty Dancing star has been battling the disease since the beginning of 2008 and recent reports suggest he’s close to death.

But now he has to try to hang on to life until November when he’ll receive the Rolex Dance Award at a gala in New York.

Rolex Watch USA president Allen Brill says, “It is an honour to present the Rolex Dance Award to Patrick Swayze, one of the most recognisable American actors, dancers, and singer/songwriters of our time.”
