News: Bale: ‘I Don’t Want Four Minutes Of Fury To Overshadow Film’

I very much doubt that it will have an influence on the movies takings at the box office.

Christian Bale is speaking out about his infamous tirade on the set of Terminator Salvation because he doesn’t want four minutes of fury to overshadow the summer blockbuster.

An audio tape of a raging Bale hurling abuse at Terminator Salvation director of photography Shane Hurlbut was leaked online in February.

Bale blasted Hurlbut after the crewmember stepped into his vision to correct a lighting problem during a scene.

Bale has already addressed the leaked tape and the comments he made by calling into Los Angeles radio show Kevin & Bean on Kroq – and now he’s opening up in front of TV cameras.

In a new interview with news show Access Hollywood, he says, “You think about the numbers of days we shot on that movie – 77 days – everything going well. What’s being focused on is four minutes where I behaved bad.

“I didn’t want that to overshadow the hard work of everybody on the crew, in every aspect. So I felt like I had to say something.”

And he insists he has no thoughts about whether his on-set tantrum has changed the way people view him: “I don’t even think about that. I don’t really have an awareness of what anybody’s perception of me is, I don’t like to. I like being oblivious to that because it allows me just to get on with whatever project I’m doing.”

But he admits he does appreciate people like director McG and Michael Caine who spoke in his defence as the taped tirade hit the headlines.

He adds, “I very much appreciate the people who did say that… It still doesn’t excuse it, but I do appreciate it.”

News: Pattinson’s Gay Scene Anguish

At least he now knows that stubble is not always nice !!!

Robert Pattinson had a painful experience filming gay love scenes with Javier Beltran for upcoming movie Little Ashes – they both refused to shave during the shoot.

The Twilight heart-throb portrays bisexual Salvador Dali in the film, which details the artist’s relationship with Federico Garcia Lorca, played by Beltran.

And in a bid to make their love scenes as awkward as possible, the pair sported prickly stubble when they puckered up.

Pattinson says, “We both refused to shave before doing it…it’s very uncomfortable in terms of scratching each other with our stubble, it made me feel sorry for women.

“I wanted to do (gay love scenes) to break down what I thought I could do, but Dali is incredibly self-conscious throughout the movie so I thought all the nude scenes and stuff worked with me being nervous anyway.”

News: Paltrow Eyes Stage Return

I think thats really cool that Gwyneth is thinking about returing to the stage 🙂

Gwyneth Paltrow is in talks to return to the London stage seven years after her last theatre performance.

The star has not been in a play since she starred in a 2002 production of Proof at the British capital’s Donmar Warehouse.

But Paltrow – who lives in London with her husband Chris Martin and their two kids – is reportedly keen to take a break form her movie career and tests her skills on the stage once again.

And the Iron Man star, who is currently filming a sequel to the blockbuster in Los Angeles, has reportedly chosen a new production of Anton Chekhov’s The Three Sisters to make her comeback, according to British newspaper the Daily Mail.

The Three Sisters is being considered for a run at London’s Haymarket theatre next year.

News: Schreiber Unhappy With ‘Squirrel-like’ X-men Action Figure

Awwww poor Liev !!!

Actor Liev Schreiber is disappointed with the action figurine of his X-men Origins: Wolverine character – because the toy looks like “an angry squirrel”.

Schreiber plays Victor Creed, who eventually adopts the mutant alter-ego of Sabretooth, opposite Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the box office smash.

But the 41-year-old is not completely happy with the plastic figurine of Sabretooth, likening the doll to the bushy-tailed tree creature.

He says, “I have one complaint about it, not that I’m not excited to finally have an action figure after all these years, but I want to know what compelled the designers of this action figure to – I’m assuming they read the plotline for the movie and saw that I play this prehistoric game cat – but what possessed them to make me look like an angry squirrel? You can almost see the nuts (in the mouth)!”

However, Schreiber’s eldest son with actress Naomi Watts doesn’t share his father’s view – the Sabretooth doll is one of 21-month-old Alexander’s favourite play things: “He has a bag of toys, that he calls the turtle bag, that he puts his favourite toys in and it took a tense 15 minutes (before he put it in the bag).”
