I think thats really nice for Patrick !!!

Patrick Swayze has something else to live for as he battles killer pancreatic cancer – he’s to be honoured for his dance moves.

News: Reynolds Lands X-men Spin-off

I think there will be so many spin-off’s occuring for all the different characters. Which is great 🙂

Ryan Reynolds’ will reprise his role as X-men mutant Deadpool after landing his own spin-off in the comic book film franchise.

Reynolds starred alongside Hugh Jackman in the fourth movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine; and studio bosses at Twentieth Century Fox have already begun development on a film to flesh out his character’s story, reports Variety.

The actor will take over the big screen as Deadpool and alter-ego Wade Wilson, a cancer-stricken mercenary who becomes an indestructible mutant thanks to a genetic experiment.

Just last week Wolverine director Gavin Hood sparked reports Reynolds is set to star in his own X-Men movie, revealing he hopes to chronicle Deadpool’s superhero background.

He told reporters, “Ryan Reynolds is extremely charismatic… and he can combine action and humour.

“The creators of these characters have all created characters that could all have their own origin stories. Hopefully fans will enjoy Wolverine and more will be made.”

News: Catholic Reviewers Poke Fun At ‘Harmless’ Angels & Demons

There we go, all the uproar the other day before they even saw the movie and after all that its . . . . harmless !!!!

Catholic scholars in Rome, Italy have given Tom Hanks’ new movie Angels & Demons a pass after sitting through a preview screening of the controversial film.

Reviewers at The Vatican’s newspaper have called the Da Vinci Code prequel inaccurate, but “harmless”.

L’Osservatore Romano ran a review and an editorial in Wednesday’s edition, critiquing the movie based on Dan Brown’s bestseller.

Film experts expected the reviewers to slate the film for daring to suggest a secret, sinister brotherhood within the Catholic Church was responsible for protecting Jesus Christ’s lineage, killing anyone who got too close to the truth or threatened the religious icon’s descendants.

Instead, L’Osservatore Romano’s critics have called Ron Howard’s film a “gigantic and smart commercial operation,” branding the film’s reconstruction of locations like St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel “magnificent”.

But the reviewers had to poke fun at the film’s mistakes, suggesting moviegoers should try to spot the historical inaccuracies.

They write, “(The film is) more than two hours of harmless entertainment, which hardly affects the genius and mystery of Christianity… (It’s) a videogame that first of all sparks curiosity and is also, maybe, a bit of fun.”

The film, which opens later this month, had its world premiere in Italy earlier this week (beg04May09).

News: Rourke Forced To Slim Down For Iron Man 2

YAY new Mickey news !!! It must be tough for him to loose the weight as he really did bulk up for ‘The Wrestler’.

Movie hardman Mickey Rourke is struggling to lose his beefed-up physique from 2008 movie The Wrestler in time to begin filming the new Iron Man sequel this summer.

Rourke gained 30 pounds (13.6 kilograms) of muscle to play washed-up grappler Randy ‘The Ram’ Robinson in the movie.

But Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau has ordered him to slim down for his role as Russian villain Whiplash in the new superhero film.

According to New York Magazine, the Manhattan-based movie star’s trainer is helping him shed the excess weight by putting him on a fast and only allowing him to dine out once a week.
