RIP Patrick Swayze

RIP Patrick Swayze, who has lost is battle with cancer.

It has been very public knowledge on his battle with cancer but it is still a very sad moment that he has died at a young age of 57. He will always be remembered for his roles in “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost” especially for women. Thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Did You Hear About The Morgans? (2009) Poster

Anything with Sarah Jessica Parker in makes me smile :-). So here is the poster for her up and coming film with Hugh Grant, about a couple who witness a crime in NYC and are relocated to a small town my the witness protection programme.

Dorian Gray (2009) Review

The portrait of Dorian Gray is the only novel Oscar Wilde wrote, I have never read it but had heard quite a bit about it. Therefore when I first saw that a new film version was going to be made I was very much looking forward to it. While the story is in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s I still think it has quite a modern spin on the tale.

Charles Darwin’s story of evolution is brought to the big screen with Paul Bettany in the main role. Here is the first poster for this film.

The Blind Side (2009) Poster

Sandra Bullock really does seem like she has been busy in the past year or so with her new films coming out thick and fast. As I love sport films I hope this will be another to add to my favorite sport films list.

Random Movie Scene 2

For today’s random movie scene I have gone for a “Richard Gere Moment” in the finale of “Pretty Woman”. I do have to admit I hate the line “she rescues him right back”, I just think it sounds kinda wrong. But a great scene nevertheless one lovely ending.

Random Movie Scene 1

Every now and then I am going to post a random movie scene video, just because it could be on of my favorites or just to be random.

The first one is the very famous pottery scene from “Ghost”.

Shall We Dance? (2004) Review

John Clark has been struggling to come to terms with his life as he is growing older and one day decides to start taking dance classes but keeping this from his wife Beverly. Something he really did not have to do, but it really is a film with so much charm and charisma.

DVD Collection

I am starting to work through my DVD Collection in order to review some of my favorite films and some films that I hvae on DVD but not yet actually watched. I am thinking about also having maybe a week of certain actor or actress and reviewing their films every day. I have over 200 DVDs so this will definitely be a long task, but it should also be very good as well. I have some very good films on DVD. Including a Stanley Kubrick collection of all his major films which I have not watched any of them yet.
