(500) Days of Summer (2009) Review

If this is the direction that the romantic comedy genre is heading in . . . then I LOVE IT. Yes, I was very impressed with this film and found it funny, romantic, heartbreaking and just brilliant all rolled into one. Yes it was different and not a traditional Hollywood romance and falling in love. I think that it captured more what happens in the real world nowadays.  From seeing the trailer’s of this film I thought I seemed very much like Summer (Zooey Deschanel) but after seeing the movie I am only like her in certain parts.

Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) Poster

While at the cinema yesterday, I saw the trailer for “Fantastic Mr. Fox” and wasn’t really too sure if I wanted to see it or not. But the actors who’s voices are used are just so good ie. Meryl Streep and George Clooney for a start. Any way here is the poster:

The Road (2009) Poster

I think this sounds like its going to be a very good film, as Viggo Mortensen keeps impressing in every role that he is in. This film is a post-apocalyptic tale of a man and his son trying to survive by any means possible.

Nine (2009) Trailer

As you may already know, I love musicals and “Chicago” is one of my favorite films. So when I found out that Rob Marshall was bringing another musical to the big stage I have been every excited about it. Even more so after watching this trailer as it looks fantastic, and really does have a great cast made up of Oscar Winners. This film has to be part of the Oscar Nominations next year.

The Boys Are Back (2009) Trailer

After looking at the poster and reading a little about this film, I came across the trailer and I’m therefore looking even more forward to seeing this film. Clive Owen impresses me more and more in each film I see him in.
