A Christmas Carol (2009) Review

Charles Dicken’s classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge is given an animated Disney look, and if you so wish 3D (2D is still available). I just had to go for the 3D option in an attempt to try to make my mind up whether I like it better or not. Scrooge is taken on a journey of redemption by three ghosts, the ghost of Christmas past, present and future. Going  back looking at his life as it was, how it is today and how it will not be for very much longer. But can he be convinced to change his ways?

Adam Lambert – Time For Miracles – 2012

I have totally been in love with this song since hearing it for the first time a couple of weeks ago now. I thought Adam Lambert should have won American Idol, he really does have a fantastic voice. Now doing a song for movie “2012”, Time For Miracles, with clips from the movie in the video. I just love this song and think its brilliant. I am thinking maybe sometimes it is best not to win American Idol? This from a runner up, is fantastic. If only the X-Factor had talent like this eh?

Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day (2008) Review

Cineworld: 3D Price Change

I have just read a news article on the Cineworld website about the change of prices for going to see 3D films. Myself and my friends have Unlimited passes, which I am sure I have mentioned before. We always thought having to pay an extra 1.50 when going to see a 3D film was a bit much as we are supposed to have unlimited access to the cinema.

Eventually however they have restructured the pricing and if you bring your 3D glasses back you will get in cheaper. Again which makes sense as I think I have 3/4 pairs already in my room. Yes I will probably take them into the cinema and recycle them as have seen places to do so.

I have been wondering who thought up the whole thing, surely it would have made sense from the beginning to bring your glasses back and get in cheaper? I am sure we asked that once and were told that you had to pay for the screen and not the glasses which was pretty laughable.

Now if you take your glasses back you get in for 80p.

Unlimited and Children 1.30

Adults 1.90

Overall, all slightly cheaper. So I am now happy with 2 3D movies coming up until the end of this year that I can save some money and take my glasses. I wonder however, who will remember to take their glasses each time. I guess we will have to decide before hand if we are going to see a 3D movie.

A Single Man (2009) Poster

A poster has been released for Colin Firth’s film “A Single Man” he won best actor at the Venice film festival. I think he looks really different on this poster, but i do like him a lot so very much want to see this film.

It’s Complicated (2009) Poster 2

A second poster has been released for Nancy Meyers up and coming film starring Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin. I think this poster is much funnier than the previous which has been released. A picture of Meryl and Alec in bed, Meryl not looking too pleased and Alec having a cheeky grin is just fantastic. I really think this is on my most want to see list.
