Oscar-winning couple of actress Kate Winslet and director Sam Mendes have today announced that they are splitting up and planning on getting a divorce. I was rather shocked by this but thinking back to the Oscars Sam was not with Kate. Are they another couple to fall to the 7 year itch?
I am a big fan of Kate and thought it looked like her and Sam were together for the long haul, the way they spoke about each other when they worked together on Revolutionary Road. They always appeared strong as a couple. But I guess we never know what goes on behind closed doors.

My inner E! suburban housewife was hoping that maybe, just maybe this is because Leo’s gonna dump his super hot model and him and Kate will get together for real. Again, just a total crazy-sick red carpet pedophile thought.
