Film and Theatre Lover!
The newest poster for Buried has been released over the past couple of days to go along with 4 others which had already been released. I think this really looks like it could be a very good film!

The first poster has been released for Burlesque and has added more excitement to me for the release of the film, in what will be in the new year in the UK.

After a few weeks of speculation and having nearly ever actress in Hollywood linked to the role of Lisbeth Salander for the Hollywood 2011 version of the millennium trilogy. It has been announced that relatively unknown actress Rooney Mara will be taking on the massive task of bringing Salander to the big screen in the English/American version of the franchise. Most recently Mara was in the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street and Youth in Revolt. I am finding it quite positive that she is quite an unknown quantity as it should make it easier to bring Salander to life.
Mara joins Daniel Craig, Stellan Skarsgard and Robin Wright Penn who have been cast in the film thus far. I am still looking forward to see who will be in the more minor yet important roles in the film.

Statements and reports have been made over the past few days about Oscar winner (and one of my favourite actors) Michael Douglas, that he is battling against throat cancer and due to under take radiotherapy over the next couple of months. My thoughts go out to Michael, wife Catherine Zeta Jones and the rest of his family and wishing him a speedy recovery. Very good to see that he seems to be positive about beating it! Good luck Michael.
I have just watched the first trailer for James L. Brooks up and coming film How Do You Know starring Reese Witherspoon in a love triangle with Owen Wilson and Paul Rudd, with my favorite actor Jack Nicholson thrown in for good measure. It actually does look like a funny and nice film.
The first poster has been released for “The Tempest” starring Helen Mirren. In which a gender switch of the main character has been changed in Shakespeare’s story.

Another day, another possible part cast in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. The latest news is that Robin Wright Penn is in talks to take on the role of Erika Berger. Who is the long time occasional lover of Daniel Craig’s character Mikael Blomkvist, and editor of Millenium magazine.
I think this would be good casting as I can really see her in the role of Berger.
What does everyone else think?
Now this is a film I really cannot wait to see! Right up my street with the musical element and dancing.

The latest on “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is that Stellan Skarsgard is in talks and/or been cast as Martin Vanger in the film due to be released in 2011. I have great interest in this film trilogy as onto reading “The Girl Who Played with Fire” and have the Swedish version of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo ready to watch. I think Skarsgard would be a brilliant choice for the role of Martin Vanger, he’s a very good actor and actually Swedish!
I just hope the casting news continues to flow in each week, as I am really curious who will be cast in the different roles especially Lisabeth Sandler and Erika Berger. Just a little warning that I will be having constant updates about this trilogy on the blog in a massive build up to the films release . . . and they haven’t even got the whole cast sorted out yet!

The latest news I have read around the web is that Daniel Craig is desperate for a Bond return (I share those feelings, I want Daniel back as Bond!). A few weeks or months ago Bond 23 was suspended indefinitely due to the crisis at MGM. Daniel Craig has come out saying he wants to return as the 007 agent in another installment of Bond, which would most probably be his last.
I am sure a lot of people really want to see Daniel return as Bond, who agrees with me?
