That’s right the picture shows the evidence that I eventually upgraded my TV and DVD player to a lovely 32 inch flat screen and a Playstation 3 which doubles up as a blu ray player!
It was about time really, now I just have to start buying blu ray dvd’s . . . any advice on what I need to have in my blu ray collection???

Well right of the bat I’d suggest Casino Royale, Saving Private Ryan, Star Trek, The Dark Knight, and if you’re a fan, Big Trouble in Little China which has a fantastic transfer considering it’s an 80s title. If you own these DVD titles they’re worth the upgrade to BD.
But for future reference (and this is only personal preference speaking) I’d only buy BD titles on Amazon because they are so much cheaper. Also, if you’re going back to replace your favorite DVD titles you already own I highly recommend http://www.dvdtown.com/ to check out their evaluation to see if they are worth it.
