Having attended the cinema hundreds and hundreds of times over the years, I have a rather strange thing of keeping all of the cinema tickets from the different screenings. Which my friends still laugh at – yet appreciate if we ever argue about which screen we saw a certain film in the past. Yes that probably does sound very sad but it’s just one of our cinema things that we seem to do.

I haven’t really been blogging about new movie posters recently but have to change that with the first poster for ‘The Iron Lady’. I really do think it’s just fantastic with Meryl as Thatcher’s head linked to the House of Parliament on the other side. It really is well worked. I cannot wait to see this film, I’m convinced it’s going to be an Oscar win for Streep!

Archibald Alexander Leach created the stage name Cary Grant and it seems that he even wanted to be Cary Grant as well. The title of this blog post is a quote from the great man himself. He was born in Bristol, England but later in his life once he reached the Hollywood leading man status he gained American citizenship.
He was nominated twice for an Academy Award but only ever won an honorary Oscar. Grant has often been voted the greatest movie star of all time – if not coming first he is very near the top. His charisma and on-screen presence really was just incredible, he had a brilliant charm and manner that it was impossible not to love him.

RIP 9/11
10 years to the day, RIP to all of those who lost their lives in the awful 9/11 attacks in New York. It’s scary to think that it was now 10 years ago, but we will never forget the people lost that day.
