Paddington Bear (2014) Poster!

Probably the most advanced poster I have ever seen released. Possibly more than 2 years ahead of the films release a poster has been put out there already. I didn’t even know anything about a Paddington Bear film, so naturally headed over to IMDb to find out more about this film. But even on there it doesn’t really have much info, other than it’s going to be a live action film and not a cartoon? Best I could find at the moment. Thought it was worthy of a blog post with it being so far in advance, only one post on the message board as well!

Rock of Ages (2012) Review

7 Bruce Springsteen Songs at the Movies

On June 21st 2012 I shall be in the Stadium of Light in Sunderland at a Bruce Springsteen concert! I thought the ideal way to tie that concert into a movie blog would be to pick 7 of The Boss’ songs for this special list!

I have to admit that I am very excited about seeing Springsteen in concert especially after finding out he’s going to be on the stage for a very impressive 3 and a half hours . . . I guess that’s exactly why he is The Boss!

MTV Movie Awards 2012 – Winners

The MTV Movie Awards are voted for by the public, but definitely a young group of people. It always seems to be battle of the fandoms on who will pick up the different awards. This year seemed to be know different as Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and The Twilight Saga all went head to head. I think some of the categories show quite a wide range of actors and performance types but at the end of the day it’s more of a popularity contest than anything else.

Breakthrough Performance
Elle Fanning – Super 8
Melissa McCarthy – Bridesmaids
Liam Hemsworth – The Hunger Games
Rooney Mara – The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Shailene Woodley – The Descendants – WINNER

Steel Magnolias (2012 UK Tour) Review

Going to see one of my favorite films on the stage in play was quite a strange experience as I really wasn’t sure how they would pull it off. I have to say I was very impressed with the method in which they do this, having only one setting. That being the beauty salon which worked extremely well. With just having one setting it was  extremely important that the acting was brilliant, the change of time and events had to be shown from the characters reactions and how they felt.
