Theatre: Olivier Awards 2016 – Nominations

Awards season goes on this time in the Theatre world with the nominees being announced for the Olivier Awards which celebrate the West End (similar to the Tony Awards for Broadway). Obviously having managed to get down to London twice to see Gypsy I will certainly be rooting for that to win all the awards it has been nominated for!

Oscars 2016 – Best Actor

This year it seems as though only one actor has been nominated in a leading role the incredible Leonardo DiCaprio who looks to be getting ready to eventually get his very own Oscar. But four other men are nominated as well just incase you either forgot or didn’t actually know that more had been nominated! This category always leaves me disappointed as my favourite doesn’t often win . . .

Always a very interesting award highlight the best leading performances by an actress if they have not been put into the supporting category! Honestly it happens every year, although before looking at each performance individually I will admit that I think this is a pretty poor year for who has been nominated for the leading role performances.
