The first trailer was released last week for the third instalment of Bridget Jones (which has gone a totally different way to the third book). I have only got round to posting about it now but my initial reaction was why why why?!?!
Just when we think everything would have worked out perfectly for Bridget Jones we see this is not the case as she is once again single. The trailer doesn’t really let us know what happened with Mark Darcy. But another man coming into it and we are then unsure to who the father of the baby is . . .
Didn’t we have enough of the “love” triangle. On the plus side no Daniel Cleaver this time around as that would have been even more boring. It does appear though that Bridget has lost a lot of weight, wasn’t that another thing average middle aged women could relate with?
Don’t get me wrong while everything about the trailer annoys me I know I will head to the cinema to see it when it is released and I am sure it will have funny moments from start to finish. I am just not overly convinced so far, time will tell I guess!

Honestly, I was surprised when I saw they had made a third film. I loved the first two, but the third just seems out of place, especially without Hugh.
And what happened with Bridget and Mark? Those two are adorable and deserved a happy ending. The who’s the baby daddy question, is too “Mamma Mia” for my taste.

Oh yeah I never even thought about the Mamma Mia link with that! In the third book Mark Darcy has died and they had two kids (I think) I only read the first few pages and wasn’t really feeling it.
