Fully deserved for the heartbreaking and heartwarming tale looking at the benefits system in the UK. Set in Newcastle and it really is powerful and hopefully it can be used to actually help the people who are screwed over by the system!
Terry Doolittle works for a bank that communicates via computer with clients from around the world. One day she receives a very strange message and when she decodes it ends up trying to help a British spy!

As much as I love La La Land, I really do want to see BAFTA really honour I, Daniel Blake as thought it was a remarkable film. (Even if they did snub Dave Johns for the leading role)

Arrived in London ready to see Whoopi Goldberg at the London Palladium on Saturday night doing her first ever UK stand up show. By total fluke I found out a few days ago that she was going to be on Friday’s Loose Women so we decided to try and see her coming out after the show finished.
A film looking at the rise of McDonald’s and the man who really kick started it Ray Kroc. After Dick and Mac came up with the brand new idea to really change restaurants in America (and then the world).

Celie Johnson has had to fight her whole life to just stay alive with abuse from her father and then forced to marry Albert who continues the abuse. It is a story about hope and being able to find the courage to stand up for yourself.

NASA was a different place early on the space programme as they were attempting to get a rocket into space. This story shows how three African-American women played vital roles in making that happen, all possessing incredible mathematical skills.
