After seeing Creed II yesterday I could not help but think about my favourite Rocky musical moments, we all know just how great the training scenes are with a truly inspiring piece of music along with it. So much so many of the songs are on my running/gym playlist to really help you push!

OK, here is my “Rocky” music connection for you: the original theme song is the iconic “Gonna Fly Now” – well, my next door neighbor, Carol Connors, co-wrote it with Ayn Robbins and Bill Conti, which earned her an Academy Award nomination! Who did she lose to? Barbra Streisand and Paul Williams for “Evergreen” from “A Star Is Born!”

I also thought the use of music was great in Creed II. They really picked the right moment to use the classic theme music!
