Poster: Joker (2019)

Now the buzz around the Joker film for 2019 starring Joaquin Phoenix has already been rather huge. This poster was released a few days ago and it is certainly my favourite in recent memory.

Clever and effective using the tag line for the film so very well “Put on a happy face” it really does build my buzz for the film as well just look at it . . .

Three weeks tomorrow I fly out to Chicago, I am going over to do the marathon! I cannot wait as the film from 2002 and the stage show are part of my favourite films and stage musicals.

Unbelievable (TV Series) Review

9FD35577-CA6D-4E73-9D41-9C8D2D590E93

Based on a true story about a teenager who was charged with lying about being raped when the detective on her case didn’t quite believe her. When two female detectives accidentally come across each other’s cases of rape, it seems that many women have been targeted in the same manner. So is it actually the same man committing the horrendous crime?

British Board of Film Classification – New Logos!

F4D7A236-C658-4C25-B393-1FD6F8DC430B

You may have seen over the past few days that the new look ratings for films has been released. This is for both cinematic and blu-ray/dvd releases. It’s actually pretty crazy that they have made them look so basic and well quite frankly awful. Surely the pink for 15 hasn’t been fully thought through considering the majority of horror films are not just rated at 15, I am sure it will look funny and spoil the tone of so many posters and covers.

Please, Leave James Bond Alone!

This isn’t the first time we have heard of people wanting James Bond to suddenly become a woman. I personally do not understand why and quite shocked that Pierce Brosnan has been the latest to come out and support Jane Bond as it is being branded about. I seriously do not understand why. Why should a male character be changed to female when we could just have a brand new franchise and character made up? Stop trying to make everything go overboard towards women. Something I have been rather annoyed about in recent years to be honest.

I want good interesting female characters not some gender swapped Bond. I mean come on as much as I enjoy a good Bond film the character is very outdated in terms of mannerisms which is probably how Jason Bourne and Ethan Hunt (Bourne and Mission Impossible) have overtaken the action in the films. So why can’t we have a better Bond instead? Don’t just change the gender in an attempt to be politically correct, make the male version better and more relevant to 2019. We don’t hear people wanting Bourne or Hunt to be made female?
