Music Stars at the Movies

I have recently re-watched the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper A Star Is Born and I then received this amazing infographic from Betway with fantastic research around awards and music stars which just seemed like perfect timing. While Lady Gaga has been nominated for her amazing turn in A Star Is Born, the transition from music to film is not always a smooth one. This makes for interesting reading in all honesty, to show that they are either a massive hit or a masssive flop!

Frozen 2 (2019) Teaser Trailer

I am still very on the fence in terms of this film actually being made in all honesty. I love Frozen, but I felt as though it deserved to be a standalone film and keep its originality and lovely songs! But that is not how everything works now and if something is utterly successful then it gets a sequel. Whether it actually needs one or not. This trailer really is a teaser in terms of not actually showing us anything useful at all . . .

Trailer: Yesterday (2019)

A new film featuring The Beatles songs called Yesterday. In a world where suddenly everyone apart from Jack has heard of them and the songs. This really does look like it will be such a feel good film!

Trailer: Aladdin (2019)

We had a teaser trailer for the live action remake of Aladdin back in October and last night during the Grammy awards they dropped the first actual trailer, we get the first glimpse of Will Smith as the blue genie and it seems to have broken the internet a little bit. Aladdin is my favourite and I just don’t see how or why this film is needed?

He seriously looks terrible. Check it out for yourself …

Musical Moments – Avenue Q (Everybody’s a Little Racist)

I have always felt Avenue Q whilst so tongue in cheek also managed to push the boundaries with some of the lyrics and songs but makes you think about what everything has become over the years.

The show is touring the UK again later this year, you really should head out to see it! Today’s musical moment was sparked from last weeks Liam Neeson interview . . .
