Bud Jablonski is a hard working man trying to do well for his young daughter, but his pool cleaning job is actually a front for his real job of hunting and killing vampires.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bud wants nothing more than to keep his job of hunting and killing vampires away from his family and he is pretty good at it. When office worker Seth spends some time watching him and ensuring that he follows the correct protocols and policies things were about to take a bit more of a strange turn! The reason Seth is with Bud is to evaluate the way he hunts as he is attempting to rejoin the vampire hunting union, something that he was kicked out of it the past. Seth must report any violations, but as he learns why Bud is doing it he warms to him and understands that life in the field is a lot tricker than just being able to say something is right or wrong.
His friend Big John Elliott will do all he can to help along with Heather who just happens to be a vampire, although we do quite quickly learn that vampires are all rather different as well. Especially with the evil nature of some who want human’s no be no more and just have vampires ruling everywhere.
Day Shift is utterly bonkers and something that is totally different to any other vampire films that you have seen before, and that is not a bad thing at all. It attempted to be and do something different and you have to respect that. You know as it turned out it was actually a rather fun film that didn’t take itself too seriously and therefore enjoyable entertainment.
Jamie Foxx taking on the leading role was always going to be a positive, I feel as though I am now at the stage where I will watch him in pretty much anything and everything. He has the charisma to drive along a film like this one and as always a true joy to watch. Dave Franco always seems to be this type of character that seems to be terrified of everything all of the time, but do you know what it just works for him! Snoop Dogg was an inspired choice and I have to admit that I really did love it each and every time he appeared on screen!
Don’t take this too seriously and you will certainly enjoy it!
