Peter Quill is still coming to terms with the loss of Gamora and now he must face a new battle not save his friend and the mission could see the end of the Guardians if it doesn’t work!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The tough times keep on coming for the heroes within the Marvel Universe and with Quill still coming to terms with the death of Gamora, but then the fact that a pre-relationship Gamora then somehow came back its a double pain really! She cannot remember anything about him, the guardians or anything that happened before the carnage left by Thanos.
Volume 3 is well and truly Rocket’s film, we get his origin story and find out some rather disturbing things about him and how he well quite frankly became Rocket. So many scenes were actually really tough to take with that and it did raise a lot of questions, which I certainly was not expecting from a Marvel film in all honesty. It will tug at your heartstrings and actually goes into some rather interesting moral dilemmas.
I must admit though that I have never been a huge fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy films as they have always fallen a little short for me with all of the hype, however by volume 3 (and other Marvel film appearances) I can well and truly say that I have eventually jumped on the bandwagon with them and throughly enjoyed this outing! Felt as though it offered so many good moments and managed to still make you smile and laugh at times whilst also teasing with breaking your heart.
The High Evolutionary had a rather strange dream to create the perfect world and then “people” this included using animals or even part animals and part humans in an attempt to do this. Therefore morphing the film into a piece also about experimentation on people including children and then also animals in an attempt to do this. It actually then creates some incredibly moving and touching scenes with Rocket at the very core of the story.
We have seen over the previous films that Rocket is very angry all of the time and we now get that insight into quite frankly why that is the case! I don’t feel though that I was emotionally prepare for what was about to come though with not only Rocket but Peter Quill. Having to come to terms with the love of your life dying is one thing, for them to still then return and not remember you is another. The grief that is shown through that is another highlight of the film, we all must attempt to deal with grief at different stages of our life and that makes it all so relatable.
Dave Bautista as Drag is the ultimate scene stealer!

I keep reading good things about this one. I guess I need to watch the first two then pick this one up afterwards.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first two in all honesty so was pleasantly surprised by this one. Also helps the rest of the Marvel films as they do tie in together.
