Will Graham was a former FBI Agent who had recently retired to Florida, he was profiler and drafted back in to help pursue a deranged serial killer known as “the Tooth Fairy” by the media.

Manhunter is a truly tense journey as we see Will Graham attempt to crack the case and work out who the Tooth Fairy really is, having meetings with Dr Hannibal Lecktor an extremely charismatic man who is also one of the worst serial killers! He offers advice to Graham as he has the case consume him again.
The tension is built up in a good way as we follow the killer and it certainly gets you on the edge of your seat wondering if and when he will be caught. Giving viewers a few rather jumpy moments is also impressive in the sense of the build up to these moments.
I will admit though that I didn’t actually know that this film existed until stumbling across it and then watching it, the fact that Brian Cox was in the role of Lecktor was one of the main reasons I decided to watch it and her certainly does not disappoint. William Petersen needs a lot of credit as well as he was very impressive in the leading role.
