In the 1920s Oklahoma when oil is discovered under the Osage Nation land it would then spark greed and murders of the Osage people, with the mystery not being investigated will the people responsible ever be found?

Killers of the Flower Moon is an utterly devastating and slow burning piece of cinema, with outstanding performances, an incredible score and utterly breathtaking performances. Naturally the running time has been the biggest focus with it being 3 hours and 26 minutes, but let’s face it no one at all does it like Martin Scorsese.
When Ernest Burkhart arrives to live with his Uncle William Hale, his life would never be the same game when he is suddenly taken into his world of deceit and lies. So much so that I didn’t even notice it all myself to begin with, I was actually hoping that Ernest was being real towards Mollie.
A very strange thing as happening those to Osage people with murders happening one by one and nothing at all being done about it. Mollie was not willing to keep seeing her family being ripped apart, as someone seemed to be working their way through them all to ensure the money and rights to land was getting bigger, well for her! Who was behind this and why did the sheriff and police do absolutely nothing about it all?
It certainly has plenty of twists and turns which adds to the tense build up around everything that happens within the story, and I will admit that some scenes really did feel like a little bit of a drag and I guess this is a film that I doubt I will actually watch again.
Memorable in terms of highlighting the horrendous treatment of so many people who had their human rights cruelly taken away by men who thought they deserved it all more. Which certainly makes it very difficult to take and comprehend how much of this was happening across different states in America during this time period.
This has to be one of the very best performances from Leonardo DiCaprio and given his career I feel that is a very big statement, his work with Scorsese has gone from strength to strength and you can really see the art in the direction. Robert De Niro is another who has worked with Scorsese throughout their entire careers and this felt as though it was great to see De Niro back properly acting once again. Lily Gladstone was brilliant as Mollie as well, in what was not an easy role at all and I was very pleased that she carried the film alongside DiCaprio. Jesse Plemons while not a huge role was very impressive when he showed up. The biggest scene stealing moment totally came from Brendan Fraser who I was not expecting at all! Also let’s appreciate John Lithgow as well.

Thanks for the review. That run time is excessive, will have to wait until it is on Apple TV.

It really is a long film, I think I would have struggled to stay fully engaged watching it at home.

With so many kids I’ve learned to watch movies in increments, sometimes taking a week or more to see it all. That is why I’m so fond of limited series, I actually block off an hour to watch an episode. I just finished Bodies and loved it, and Slow Horses is another. That one was easy with the shorter run times, around 36 minutes or so.

I should have said “series” too, like Slow Horses, Foundation, etc. But I especially like the limited ones.

Try and find out if anyone has broken it down like they did with The Irishman!
