No Hard Feelings (2023) Review

Maddie is not having a good time at all, doesn’t have a car and must pay taxes before she loses her home and when she finds an intresting job listing that parents want someone to date their 19 year old son before he goes to college.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Maddie is at a massive crossroads in her life as she attempts to save her childhood home that had been left to her by her mother when she died. Attempting to get by and heading to her job, sleeping with any man she wants which quite frankly lead to her downfall when her car was towed.

The advert she comes across which leads her to meet Allison and Laird Becker is quite strange in the sense that they have placed it for their son Percy who they are worried about because he is not great in social situations and quite frankly they are willing to give a car to the person who will have sex with him for the first time. I mean that’s pretty dark isn’t it!

On respondnig to the ad Maddie goes all when she meets the pair even though she is a good ten years older than the age they had in mind. She thinks that it is going to be an easy thing to do and heads straight to Percy’s work and her behaviour towards him is actually quite frightening.

The thing is though at that point I was quite concerned about the direction of the film, but it does actually take a nicer turn and less creepy in the ways she is pretty much trying to have sex with him for a car. They both realise that they have each other for different reasons and support for the difficult times they are going through. Plus parents wanting their child to have sex is quite frankly mind blowing.

Jennifer Lawrence is everything and I forgot just how good she was at the comedy style abd can carry a film in such an effortless manner. Andrew Barth Feldman was good opposite her as well, taking on the awkward character. Given that it could have easily taken that more sick tone, luckily that wasn’t the case.
