Nick Bali is a wounded detective who is hired to investigate the suspicious death of Leo a twin in a wealthy family who is involved in a climbing accident, do the family know more than they have admitted to?

Nick was hired by Penelope Vardakis to investigate the death of Leo who is the twin brother of her husband Elias. The family she had married into pretty much control the police on the island and the investigation was closed rather quickly and officially marking it as a climbing accident. They are more concerned about the impact it could have on the shipping company they own.
The case makes Nick haunted with memories of his own marriage which had fallen apart, the deceit of his wife and missing his daughter. He is pushed to the limits of trying to come to terms with his actions and then focuses on uncovering the truth within the case.
We are given it in the film noir style with the detective voiceover and explaining different aspects, which I guess could have been quite a good approach …
This leads nicely to saying that everything about the plot was obvious from the moment you knew it was twins. No matter how many attempts they made to try and get you thinking about what could have happened, you had already worked it out within the first five minutes. Which I guess was a slight shame really considering the cast are strong in other projects.
