That’s right, the Time Warp has been going on for 50 whole years in film format! I just had to go to the cinema to see one of my favourites on the big screen. Now I didn’t go dressed up, even though I do have an outfit. I think only five people in the screening were, probably a shame that and audience participation wasn’t more encouraged. I mean that is one of the big reasons it became such a clut classic.

I don’t think I have actually seen the film on the big screen before, unless I have just forgotten but I am such a geek that I usually remember not only what I have seen at the cinema but who I went to see it with, well how about that!
During this screening on Saturday night it did make me wonder how many people were actually sat watching it for the very first time. Then if that was the case were they just thinking what on earth is this film I am watching and why do so many people love it so much?

Seeing Tim Curry as Frank N Furter on that big screen really is something else, I also totlaly forgot the utter brilliance of Susan Sarandon and the innocence she brought to Janet. I have so many little moments that just crack me up, you know the part where they sing “you’re a hot dog but you better not try to hurt her …”

Let’s all just rejoice that Richard O’Brien was able to put this masterpiece together, I mean no one would think it would still have such a cult following now would they! 50 years later, let’s do the time warp again!
A timeless classic

I need to watch this again for the 50th anniversary, it’s probably been 30 years since I’ve seen it. Wasn’t too long ago I saw Jesus Christ Superstar again, and the Wiz. They don’t make em like that anymore (which is probably a good thing haha).
