When Morgan Grant and her teenage daughter Clara must not only attempt to get along, they also need to deal with tragic death of Chris their husband and father.
⭐️⭐️
When the tragic death of both Chris and Jenny, it reveals to Morgan that pretty much her entire life had been a lie. The incident blowing everything up and in her attempt to protect her daughter Clara from the truth which would tarnish not only the memory of her father but also her Aunt, who was her favourite person.
In what is already going to be a complex story we also get Jonah in the story who had recently had a baby with Jenny, and had been in love with Morgan for the majority of his life.
Oh yes, really.
Regretting You is a mess throughout and attempts to tug at the heart strings with the different moments. We see Clara exploring a relationship with Miller Adams, who quite frankly is too much due to the perfect nature. Especially when Clara is not the easiest to deal with at times and her treatment of him isn’t great.
With this being based on a book, it might have a better audience from those who have read it? I have found that in the past with this style of film, reading the book gives you that background on the characters and how you think it might unfold. It really just wasn’t for me at this moment in time and just felt a lot in terms of pushing those emotional boundaries and maybe I just wasn’t really ready for that, going in totally blind to the film.
