Annouced this afternoon are the 2018 Olivier Awards recognising some of the amazing productions and performances over the past year! I have been lucky enough to see quite a few of these productions as well!

The first official teaser trailer from Disney was released during the Oscars last night and it is just a perfect way to start building up for the return of Mary Poppins. I totally love the trailer and the use of the kite throughout with the music and small moments which just show that it is almost time to see her again! Well done Disney!
Here is the full list of the Oscar winners for 2018! Not a massive amount of surprises especially on the acting front, but I am so happy with The Shape of Water taking Best Picture!

Based on the life of figure skater Tonya Harding and her tough battle to make it at the top and become part of the Olympic team. A tough up bringing by her mother LaVona who claimed to be helping her become the best. A brutal relationship with Jeff who becomes her husband, all ends with a huge scandal.

The top award an actress can hope to win which also means Meryl Streep will somehow be involved! I think this year we have been given five fantastic performances which are all very different and from very different types of films. That certainly shows that this has been a great year for the roles women have been getting, especially considering the very negative time Hollywood has had. This will be a very good celebration for talent and roles.
