#LoveTheatreDay

As you are well aware I am a huge fan of going to the Theatre, catching my favourite actors on stage and the occasional stage door visit as well. This year I have managed a lot of touring UK shows, many visits to the West End in London and an incredible trip to New York for some amazing Broadway shows. Nothing better than watching live acting and singing before your eyes in some beautiful Theatres!

#LoveTheatreDay

This is being celebrated on Twitter and really is fantastic to find amazing posts from performers and shows as well as fans!

Amazon: Lord of the Rings Series!

lotr1-movie-screencaps-com-12395_zpsrrxg0235

That is right it has been confirmed that Amazon have bought the rights to Lord of the Rings to create a truly epic TV Series, they want to attempt to rival Game of Thrones and the success that has had in a similar type of set up.

The deal is said to be close to $250 million just to secure the global TV rights, so if they are willing to spend that much just on the rights just imagine what they are going to do with it!

Musical Moments – Take a Chance on Me (Julie Walters)

To continue the celebration of Julie Walters becoming Dame Julie Walters I thought what better way than to have a musical moment to cheer everyone up on this cold Monday than a clip from Mamma Mia!

This is an absolutely hilarious moment in the film and as always Walters is outstanding I think the fact that she is acting opposite Skarsgard makes it even better as lets face it he is pretty great all the time as well.

Remembrance Sunday

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

We will remember them.

October 2017 at the Cinema

As we are approaching the last few months of 2017 I honestly don’t think the standard of films is improving too much in all honesty, I am sure you will see exactly why when looking at the seven films that I went to see during October.

The number of films I went to see was 7 and this then cost £2.55 per film as the Unlimited Card at Cineworld is £17.90 per month.

Dame Julie Walters

Julie Walters is a much loved British actress and this week she was awarded with the highest honour and became a Dame, presented with the award by the Queen. She was then serenaded in the best way possible by the cast on set of Mamma Mia 2 . . . Because there is nothing like a dame!

paddington_two_ver3

Paddington is very happy with his life with the Brown family and very settled in London. Constantly thinking about his Aunt Lucy and how he can make her 100th birthday extra special, all leads to a pop up book of London. The only problem is that book has a hidden meaning and he’s not the only one who wants it.
