Batman V Superman: ALL you need to know

The people over at Morphsuits.co.uk have done it again with another cool film fact poster so I thought I would share it! Considering I am not massively excited for Batman V Superman which I know is a shock as Batman is my favourite superhero but the trailers haven’t really captured me!

A jury must decide the verdict on the murder a young man has been charged with, does all of the evidence add up to send this person to their death?

Ghostbusters (2016) Trailer

Well considering everyone has been going pretty crazy over this trailer for the up and coming Ghostbusters reboot I thought I would join in!

I actually think the trailer makes it look much better than I expected, I love the original Ghostbusters and really looking forward to seeing which direction they head in with this film. I have been a bit of a fan of Kristen Wiig since Bridesmaids and followed her other films quite closely since then, so I think she is a good choice for this film. Along with Melissa McCarthy who massively surprised me with Spy last year!

What do you think?

7 Worst Film Mothers

As it is Mother’s Day (in the UK at least) I decided that I would then pick my 7 worst film mothers. You certainly would not want any of these to be your mother as they certainly did not help their children have, but some of them might just redeem themselves in the end?

Kate – Home Alone

Leaving your son behind when heading on holiday is a pretty awful thing to do. Kevin had an amazing time being home all alone after his whole family jetted off for Christmas without him. We will give it to Kate that she had a feeling something was wrong, but not checking you have all your children was a very bad move. I guess airports have changed a lot since the early 90s and they wouldn’t get that far to this day. We will give her points for doing everything she can to then get back to Kevin as soon as possible.

7 Best Film Mothers

As it is Mother’s Day (in the UK at least) I decided that I would then pick my 7 favourite film mothers who are the best mothers!

Molly Weasley – Harry Potter Series

harry-potter_2408268a_zpswx4wc58s

What better way to start off the list than with Molly Weasley played so fantastically by Julie Walters ever present in the series and a brilliant mother to all of her children. As well as taking it upon herself to then look after Harry. Her best moment coming when stepping up to fight against Bellatrix in the finale. Certainly someone you would love to have as your mother, always looking out for you and a standard knitted sweater for Christmas!

Oscars: My Favorite Hosts

Something that everyone always talks about when it comes to the Oscars is who the host or hosts are. It seems to be important to really get the viewer engaged from the opening monologue. I will admit that in terms of watching the Oscars I am pretty new at it. I guess I have this blog to thank for that as probably 2009 was when I started paying more attention to it. The reason? Well because I had started watching more films, and seen a lot that had been nominated.

Therefore my favourite Oscar hosts are from the more recent years, I just thought I had to set that straight before people asked why I had not mentioned some of the older ones.

I thought I would start by mentioning Chris Rock who had the pleasure of hosting this years Oscars. His opening monologue well pretty much poked fun at everyone addressing the Oscars so white situation which had been brewing since the nominations came out. He was as everyone expected in all honesty.

Posteritty – Film Quote Posters

I came across the incredible Posterity at some point on Twitter before Christmas, as someone had retweeted them for the very cool film calendar they were releasing. I then got it as a Christmas present (after sending the link on) and after that bought some of the posters. I have eventually got round to putting them up on my wall and thought it was well  worthy of it’s own blog post and to encourage my fellow film fans to check out the website for the fantastic minimalistic images and some with quotes.

I have therefore picked some of my favourite quotes from my favourite films. I am sure you won’t be surprised with my choices!
