Oscars 2015 – Best Actor

Now for Best Actor in a Leading Role, once again I have managed to see all of these films and this category certainly does have some very strong performances. Apart from Cooper they are all first time Oscar nominees, which I think is a pretty nice thing really. Showing that new and old talent is being rewarded, two Brits in this category as well which lets face it has been mentioned absolutely loads on UK TV over the past few weeks. I am certainly hoping for an upset in this one in all honesty, I just hope it’s not so nailed on and straight forward.

Oscars 2015 – Best Supporting Actress

Continuing my good form of seeing the Oscar nominated films I am pleased to say that I have seen all five of the films for the nominated actresses in a supporting role. Another pretty strong category and with what everyone thinks will be a clear winner. Surely we are in for some surprises and people picking up the awards that are not so expected? Well we certainly have to hope so due to the fact that if everything is as widely predicted it will be rather boring. So I am going to have my last say on the actresses in a supporting role and pleased to say that I actually enjoyed all five of these films!

Oscars 2015 – Best Supporting Actor

This is another category that I have seen all of the films for, I think it makes these blog posts a lot easier (won’t always be the case as I am missing some, but you will have to wait and see which ones …). Now the selections for these seemed pretty straight forward, but I guess one was quite a surprise with Robert Duvall getting a nomination for The Judge. I was really pleased with that as enjoyed that film than it seems other people did! Everyone has been talking about Simmons easily walking away with the gold statue but I think this is a very strong category and he has some brilliant competition. This is nearly always the best category as always has very strong performances!

Oscars 2015 – Best Picture

Eight films are going to be battling for the title of Best Picture on Sunday and I managed to see them all at the cinema before the end of January, which must be a record for a UK-based person. We usually end up with one or two films that don’t come out until March. That has still happened this year but not for any of these nominated films. I wasn’t as bothered by the Oscars last year as missed quite a few of the films. But back on track for the 2015 awards, I am going to offer some thoughts and try to pick which is my favourite but what I think will win . . . If that turns out to be different. Here it goes . . .

7 Fantastic Film Sex Scenes

Well with it being Valentine’s day and Fifty Shades of Grey weekend, I thought what better post for today? Picking 7 of my favourite sex scenes from films, some of my choices are probably very obvious others may not be! This is probably a strange list to put together, but I must mention that I mainly like the less is more option in films, I am sure some of my choices will prove that especially when you get to my all time favourite at the end!!!

7 Snow Films!

With the current weather being so cold and the threat (or maybe you actually have some) of snow is a daily occurrence. I live in the North East of England and we have been pretty let off with it so far only the odd downpours but not actually lying on the ground I thought I would quickly put together a list of films which have quite a lot of snow in them!

I have tried to mix some obvious choices with some you might not expect!
