News: Titanic Stars Hand Over Cash To Ship’s Last Survivor

Awwwww I think thats really nice πŸ™‚

Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio have proved their generosity is of Titanic proportions – after donating $30,000 (Β£20,000) to help the last remaining survivor from the doomed ship.

The pair, who starred as tragic lovers in the 1997 blockbuster, along with the movie’s director James Cameron, handed over the cash to ensure 98-year-old Millvina Dean can pay her nursing home fees, reports Access Hollywood.

Dean was the ship’s youngest passenger at nine months old when the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank en-route to New York in 1912. She is the ship’s only living survivor.

Photographer Don Mullan made an appeal to help raise money for Dean in the Sunday edition of the Irish Independent newspaper, and also reached out to Winslet, DiCaprio and Cameron in a bid to raise awareness.

Mullan has already set up an exhibition to raise funds.

He explains to the publication, “I figured that if the edition sold out, it would secure Millvina for a full year. My plan, however, was to double the impact and thereby secure her for two years.

“I decided, therefore, at the opening of the exhibition, to publicly challenge James Cameron, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, 20th Century Fox and Celine to match me dollar for dollar.”

According to reports, Mullan is still waiting to be contacted by Celine Dion, who won an Oscar for the movie’s theme song My Heart Will Go On.

Top 10 Movie Love Songs

I have been feeling rather on the lovely dovey side for no reason whatsoever, so thought I would pick my top 10 movie love songs. Or songs about love.

10. My Heart Will Go On – Celine Dion (Titanic)

I think while this song gets a lot of criticism and people saying this dislike it. I am sure when it first came out everyone loved it a lot. It totally fits together with the movie and the ending. “Every night in my dreams, I see you, I feel you”Β I mean that line is just so lovely its unreal. I love it!

9. It Must’ve Been Love– Roxette (Pretty Woman)

Probably quite a strange choice with this being top 10 love songs, when this is about a love ending. “It must’ve been love . . . but its over now . . . “. I am sure loads of people have related to this song, but in terms of the movie it wasnt over for Jules and Richard. It was just a small stepping stone until they got together for real in the end. Which is how most people would love to happen to them in there lives.

8. Unchained Melody – Righteous Brothers (Ghost)

How could this not be in the top 10?!?!? The very famous pottery scene and when everyone was totally in love with Patrick Swayze after Dirty Dancing. Lovely . . .Β  “I’ve hungered for your touch, alone . . . lonely times . . . and time goes by so slowly . . . ” I think its just perfect for this movie it fit together so well. “Are you still mine . . . I need your love . . .” it really is a deep love song. Longing for the person and wanting them more than anything. Which is just awwwwww.

7. When You Say Nothing At All– Ronan Keating (Notting Hill)

“You say it best . . . when you say nothing it all . . .” It would probably look like a very strange love song, “what I hear when you dont say a thing” its relating to all the emotions a person shows towards someone that they are in love with and care about a lot. So to show you love someone you dont have to say anything and in Hugh Grants case in the film that probably would have been the best idea haha. He always seemed to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.

6. Time of My Life– Jennifer Warnes &Β Β Bill Medley (Dirty Dancing)

“Now I’ve had the time of my life, never felt like this before, I swear its the truth and I owe it all to you . .Β .” I think that opening line to this song, describes how baby feels towards Johnny throughout the whole film. He taught her so much in such a short period of the time and they fell for each other so much. So I think this song perfectly fits the movie, and especially the ending. Showing everyone that they had the time of their lives. “This could be love . . .”

News: Sex Co-star Praises Parker’s Parental Skills

Awww I love SATC cast love ❀

Sex And The City actor Mario Cantone is sure his co-star Sarah Jessica Parker will be the perfect mum to her new baby twins – because her six-year-old son is perfect.

Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick announced last week they are set to become parents to surrogate twin daughters.

The tots, due this summer, will be sisters for their son James Wilkie, and Parker fears she won’t be able to balance her acting roles with her home life once the twins arrive.

But Cantone, who played Anthony Marentino in the hit U.S. show, insists the actress has nothing to worry about, and heaps praise on her and Broderick’s parental achievements so far.

He says, “That kid James Wilkie is so cute and so brilliant and so smart and he’s got such a wit about him

“I only spent a little time with him but I fell in love with the kid. I just think he’s something else. He’s like a smart, witty, appropriate child and that’s rare.”

And Cantone is adamant Parker has always harboured dreams of having girls in her brood.

He adds, “She wanted girls I’m sure and I think it’s good. And I also think if you’re going to have one child, you should have another. The only child thing is a tough thing.”

News: Bale: ‘I Don’t Want Four Minutes Of Fury To Overshadow Film’

I very much doubt that it will have an influence on the movies takings at the box office.

Christian Bale is speaking out about his infamous tirade on the set of Terminator Salvation because he doesn’t want four minutes of fury to overshadow the summer blockbuster.

An audio tape of a raging Bale hurling abuse at Terminator Salvation director of photography Shane Hurlbut was leaked online in February.

Bale blasted Hurlbut after the crewmember stepped into his vision to correct a lighting problem during a scene.

Bale has already addressed the leaked tape and the comments he made by calling into Los Angeles radio show Kevin & Bean on Kroq – and now he’s opening up in front of TV cameras.

In a new interview with news show Access Hollywood, he says, “You think about the numbers of days we shot on that movie – 77 days – everything going well. What’s being focused on is four minutes where I behaved bad.

“I didn’t want that to overshadow the hard work of everybody on the crew, in every aspect. So I felt like I had to say something.”

And he insists he has no thoughts about whether his on-set tantrum has changed the way people view him: “I don’t even think about that. I don’t really have an awareness of what anybody’s perception of me is, I don’t like to. I like being oblivious to that because it allows me just to get on with whatever project I’m doing.”

But he admits he does appreciate people like director McG and Michael Caine who spoke in his defence as the taped tirade hit the headlines.

He adds, “I very much appreciate the people who did say that… It still doesn’t excuse it, but I do appreciate it.”

News: Pattinson’s Gay Scene Anguish

At least he now knows that stubble is not always nice !!!

Robert Pattinson had a painful experience filming gay love scenes with Javier Beltran for upcoming movie Little Ashes – they both refused to shave during the shoot.

The Twilight heart-throb portrays bisexual Salvador Dali in the film, which details the artist’s relationship with Federico Garcia Lorca, played by Beltran.

And in a bid to make their love scenes as awkward as possible, the pair sported prickly stubble when they puckered up.

Pattinson says, “We both refused to shave before doing it…it’s very uncomfortable in terms of scratching each other with our stubble, it made me feel sorry for women.

“I wanted to do (gay love scenes) to break down what I thought I could do, but Dali is incredibly self-conscious throughout the movie so I thought all the nude scenes and stuff worked with me being nervous anyway.”

News: Paltrow Eyes Stage Return

I think thats really cool that Gwyneth is thinking about returing to the stage πŸ™‚

Gwyneth Paltrow is in talks to return to the London stage seven years after her last theatre performance.

The star has not been in a play since she starred in a 2002 production of Proof at the British capital’s Donmar Warehouse.

But Paltrow – who lives in London with her husband Chris Martin and their two kids – is reportedly keen to take a break form her movie career and tests her skills on the stage once again.

And the Iron Man star, who is currently filming a sequel to the blockbuster in Los Angeles, has reportedly chosen a new production of Anton Chekhov’s The Three Sisters to make her comeback, according to British newspaper the Daily Mail.

The Three Sisters is being considered for a run at London’s Haymarket theatre next year.

News: Schreiber Unhappy With ‘Squirrel-like’ X-men Action Figure

Awwww poor Liev !!!

Actor Liev Schreiber is disappointed with the action figurine of his X-men Origins: Wolverine character – because the toy looks like “an angry squirrel”.

Schreiber plays Victor Creed, who eventually adopts the mutant alter-ego of Sabretooth, opposite Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the box office smash.

But the 41-year-old is not completely happy with the plastic figurine of Sabretooth, likening the doll to the bushy-tailed tree creature.

He says, “I have one complaint about it, not that I’m not excited to finally have an action figure after all these years, but I want to know what compelled the designers of this action figure to – I’m assuming they read the plotline for the movie and saw that I play this prehistoric game cat – but what possessed them to make me look like an angry squirrel? You can almost see the nuts (in the mouth)!”

However, Schreiber’s eldest son with actress Naomi Watts doesn’t share his father’s view – the Sabretooth doll is one of 21-month-old Alexander’s favourite play things: “He has a bag of toys, that he calls the turtle bag, that he puts his favourite toys in and it took a tense 15 minutes (before he put it in the bag).”
