Special Fan Screening: The Lord of the Rings – The Rings of Power

I am still totally buzzing that last night we got to go to the Special Fan screening of the first two episodes of the new Amazon series The Rings of Power, taking us back to Middle Earth once again. We have heard so much in the build up to the release of this series and how much money Amazon have put into making it!

I have been utterly obsessed with Lord of the Rings since that release back in 2001 and have been really looking forward to this series, maybe even a little bit nervous as I felt The Hobbit trilogy lost some of the magic we got from the original trilogy. I am very pleased though to be able to say that from the first two episodes that Amazon have absolutely nailed it! It was also extra special that my fellow LOTR loving friend Michelle came with me to the special screening at Tyneside Cinema.

The music, the stunning scenery, the way the map is used to then show the different places, some characters we already know and loads of new ones that we are going to get to know.

It’s epic!

I cannot wait for eight more episodes.
