Film and Theatre Lover!
With the current weather being so cold and the threat (or maybe you actually have some) of snow is a daily occurrence. I live in the North East of England and we have been pretty let off with it so far only the odd downpours but not actually lying on the ground I thought I would quickly put together a list of films which have quite a lot of snow in them!
I have tried to mix some obvious choices with some you might not expect!
After the release of Kingsman this week it got me thinking about Colin Firth and how good his career has been and will continue to grow. I had quite an obsession with him years ago and managed to watch a wide range of his films, so I thought I would pick seven films to include in this list of his films that you might not have seen.
I made sure to leave off what I thought to be the obvious ones and his biggest films that have been out so far!

It’s been a while since I have put together a ‘7 Things’ list but while watching some of “All is Lost” on Saturday it got me thinking about films which will actually make you scared to go into the sea and maybe of the water in general. I certainly wouldn’t fancy a small boat in the sea at all!
Didn’t quite make the list – Titanic I thought this would be the most obvious choice so decided to not include it in the 7 films.

Still cannot believe I got to meet Bill Nighy last week and see him perform on stage. So yes he is involved in another blog post, if you check out his tag on the blog you will see my obsession goes back to at the very least 2009 … although that is when this blog was created so maybe a long time before that! After seeing The Other Woman at the cinema it got me thinking that I don’t particularly like Cameron Diaz so I thought I would try to see if I could pick seven films she’s in that I actually like! I think I just about managed to do it as well. Just thinking to her more recent roles I am still quite traumatised by that scene in The Counsellor . . . Yes you know the one I mean with the car windscreen!
So the following are seven films she is in that I actually like! I guess it doesn’t mean I particularly like her character but that’s not massively important! I think in recent times she really has taken on some truly awful roles.
Here in the UK the 26th December is known as Boxing Day. This is obviously a good time to get those Boxing films on and be part of the day! I’ve tried to pick different types of boxing films and cheated when it came to Rocky as I have just put it in as the series as it could have taken up a few places on the list of seven films!
The films all seem to have a similar theme for the main character who is done on their luck and nothing in life seems to go their way. Leaving them with only one thing left to fight for, the right to box. It must be the nature of the sport which makes the themes of them very similar.
What is your favourite boxing film?
Every year as it gets close to Christmas time I find myself watching the same films you watch every year, but the good thing about them is that it’s special because you only watch them during a certain few weeks in December. So these seven films will be in no particular order and I will attempt to say what I like about them and why exactly I look forward to watching them at Christmas time.
