Cineworld Secret Screening 8 – Possible Films

Exciting news just announced from Cineworld is that we are getting the 8th Secret Screening very soon. Just incase you somehow have no idea what the Secret Screening set up is, you have no idea what film you are going to be watching before heading into the Cinema. Which creates suspense and gives us a couple of weeks to try to guess which film it could be, as usual I have put together some of my guesses. I am spaced out the films over a month from this date into July as the last secret screening was Love, Simon and it was a pretty advanced screening!

Over the years we have now had many different genres as our Secret Screening and that certainly helps to keep it interesting. Usually though smaller films which need a little bit extra publicity are the previews.

Date: Wednesday 20th June 2018

Cineworld Secret Screening 7 – Possible Films

Not too long after Secret Screening 6 which turned out to be a very good preview of Molly’s Game we have the 7th Unlimited Secret Screening at Cineworld!

Screening Type: 2D, Unlimited Preview
Date/time: Tuesday 13th March 2018 at 20:00
Runtime: 90 mins
Rating: TBC

Remember that it does not have adverts and only trailers so if you leave it 20-30 minutes you will miss the start of the film!

As usual I thought I would attempt to guess the possible films it would be, not going to look at the time or anything this time as Molly’s Game showed that it really didn’t matter at all. I am determined to have the film in my guesses at least once! Again they have put down 90 minutes, which we know doesn’t really matter at all! The rating caused problems last year when it was announced the film was a 15 so some people couldn’t take their kids!

Anyway let’s have a look at the possible film we could be watching . . .

Cineworld’s 4DX Experience!

A very exciting event happened yesterday (Wednesday 20th December 2017) and at Cineworld Newcastle they opened a 4DX screen! Which is brilliant for a couple of different reasons, it gives another option for something different at a Cineworld cinema in the North East and it shows the investment that is being put into that cinema since Cineworld took it over from Empire in the summer!

This is the information we have been given so far and when booking your tickets. I do love that this time they have put this warning on “And to all those who are getting their hopes up that it might be an early screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we’re sad to say that it definitely is NOT but we promise it’s going to be a great one!”. Which was because it caused a huge kick off when it wasn’t Star Wars back in 2015.

Let’s take a look at possible films it could be . . .

August 2017 at the cinema

Into the eighth month of the year now so much more than half way though, I am actually thinking that 2017 isn’t the greatest year for film in all honesty.

The number of films I went to see was 8 and this then cost £2.23 per film as the Unlimited Card at Cineworld is £17.90 per month.

2nd – 47 Meters Down – Review

7th – The Big Sick – Review

9th – Atomic Blonde – Review

11th – Girls Trip – Review

21st – The Dark Tower – Review

23rd – The Hitman’s Bodyguard – Review

30th – Logan Lucky – Review

30th – Detroit – Review

100th Cineworld Unlimited Screening!

Tonight is a big occasion at Cineworld. They are celebrating the 100th Unlimited Card holders Screening. Just incase you don’t know anything about them, it is pretty much a preview of an up and coming film before everyone else can see it.

They have included some Secret Screenings as well, you sometimes get a free bag of sweets to go with it.

Tonight we are getting an extended preview of Ghost in the Shell along with Popcorn before the main feature of Free Fire.

I was going to attempt to try and work out how many of the 100 Unlimited Screenings I attended but unfortunately I did not tag them all on my blog. I guess I could work back through old tickets and emails (watch this space, just haven’t had a lot of time this week).

Cineworld: Wristband!

Quite recently I saw something on Twitter about Cineworld doing wristbands with collectable film things to pin on them. So eventually when I went to the cinema last (to see Finding Dory) I bought one for my cousin’s little boy who is 5, he totally loved it!

At the moment they have four different choices in the things you can buy which meant it only cost £2 for the wristband already filled with the “charms” which works out the same as buying them separate at 50p each as you get a free wristband with the first one you buy.

It was a little disappointing they didn’t have anything for Finding Dory, maybe they will add that next? As I told him I would keep a look out for any new ones to add to his collection.
