A personal favourite of mine which has so many unreal quotable moments!

I am absolutely delighted to have been accepted as a member of the Online Association of Female Film Critics (OAFFC) which is a place for female film critics to have the reviews they write shared and be together as a group. Delighted to be part of this with many bloggers I have interacted with for many years now!

Early this week was the date that The Dark Knight was released in cinemas and that film pretty much changed everything about comic book films as well as action films in terms of substance and what they could have in them. I loved the film so much after the first cinema viewing that I went back two more times and now have lost count on the number of times I have actually watched the film. I still personally believe it should have been nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars the following year. Heath Ledger was rightly awarded the Best Actor in a Supporting Role but this really should have been the film to break that Best Picture stigma.

Christopher Nolan really did take the whole comic book movie genre to a totally different level with his trilogy. Starting and setting the pace with Batman Begins and then moving into this unreal place with The Dark Knight and then finishing it off with The Dark Knight Rises. All of which are brilliant films on their own, so as a trilogy I actually think they are pretty close to being perfect, he set the bar high and I don’t think we have or will ever really see anything like this.
Check out which films are coming to FilmStruck Curzon in July 2018! A reminder that FilmStruck Curzon is the newest film streaming service in the UK!

I was so amazed when I saw a tweet about this incredible new range of 12 films from HMV that are in a VHS still box and case but it is actually a Blu-ray and DVD copy of the film along with other typical 80s gifts! I seriously love anything like this when they release something a little bit different and new. I am sure these will be very popular and quickly sell out.
Check them out on the website here!
If they are popular maybe we will get some 90s films as well?
I am certainly always going to love La La Land!

You may or may not remember when I did a post about the incredible new streaming service that is now available in the UK? FilmStruck Curzon offers some incredible films, with plenty of award winning material available to stream instantly!

I thought it was about time to take a little look back at the world of film a whole decade ago, yes really we have had Heath Ledger’s Joker for that long now! I was seriously hoping for a re-release at the cinema in all honesty, felt it would have been perfect to celebrate the 10th anniversary.

I am going to take a look at some of the films that I enjoyed most from 2008, this might be looking back to having seen them for the first time at the cinema or just catching up with them later. It’s actually quite scary when you look back 10 years and not realise which films were actually released then and we can now call old. I would think most of them are standing the test of time pretty well in all honesty.

Father’s Day is fast approaching Sunday 17th June 2018 . . .
What films do you think about when you think of your Dad and what have they got you into in terms of films? Well, I certainly have to say that for myself Arnie is an actor that I think my Dad made me a fan of! He is one of my ultimate guilty pleasures along with Stallone!
