Queen and Adam Lambert – Newcastle 2015

The best thing about this concert had to be that it didn’t go on sale a year in advance it was a couple of months before the actual date. Which I think should be done more often as you don’t have to wait as long for the gig to actually happen. The very well done performance on New Year’s Eve was at a prime time just a couple of weeks before the UK leg of the European tour started. Newcastle was the opening night of the Tour which again made it even more exciting!

Goo Goo Dolls – Newcastle – O2 Academy 2013

On Saturday night I went to see the Goo Goo Dolls at the O2 Academy in Newcastle, which is a pretty intimate venue with not much space for too many people. So a bit nicer than heading to an arena or stadium if you are standing and in the free for all to be able to see the band. Having not long ago released a new album “Magnetic” with some very catchy songs, this is the tour which follows that album.

Goo Goo Dolls – Iris

I am going to see the Goo Goo Dolls tonight in Newcastle and very excited about hearing one of my all time songs live! That song being Iris and from City of Angels. That’s not the reason it’s my favourite song but with this being a film blog and all I thought I had to link it in some way!

Bon Jovi – Because We Can Tour 2013

An announcement was made today for Bon Jovi’s 2013 tour named “Because We Can” the UK dates. I have been waiting for this since I saw them 2011 in Manchester. But this time I won’t have to travel that far, as they are coming to Sunderland. Back to the North East England for the first time in 12 years! Honestly I couldn’t actually be any more excited. Bon Jovi are my all time favorites! That being the reason that I just had to make this post on my blog. Rule on 13th June 2013, we will all be livin’ on a prayer!

Mickey Rourke – Hero Music Video

Well Hero by Enrique just came on my iTunes and I remembered that Mickey Rourke is in the video! Quite funny that at the time this song came out I had no idea who Mickey Rourke was! Such a brilliant song!

Grammy Awards 2010 – Lady GaGa

The 2010 Grammy Awards took place last night so I have spent some time this morning searching YouTube to see clips of some of the performances. Lady GaGa really blew everyone away with a compilation of some of her songs from the previous year. “Poker Face” “Bad Romance” and my favorite “Speechless” which involved Sir Elton John in a duet and they changed to “Your Song” in the middle then went back to singing Speechless. It really was just incredible she seems to get better each time you see her perform.

Other performances which I loved were my favorites Bon Jovi 🙂 who sung three songs including classic hit “Livin’ On A Prayer” which was voted for by the public for them to sing. Pink was brilliant singing “Glitter in the Air” and Taylor Swift done an incredible performance of Love Story and You Belong With Me.

I could not yet find the Michael Jackson tribute but hopefully will be able to watch that very soon.

Lady GaGa – Speechless

I am sure I have made posts before when I have a song of the moment before, so here goes another one of those posts. I heard this song for the first time on Wednesday when the Royal Variety performance was on TV and pretty much downloaded it on Friday and have listened to it 25 times on iTunes already!!! Yes I did say it was a song of the moment.

I think its a totally different type of song to hear from Lady GaGa showing that she really is talented with music, while yes she is a little strange. But I think thats all part of her act, she does things differently. This shows in the performance at the Royal Variety.

I guess I can just really relate to this song at the moment with the lyrics they just really appeal to me, and somethings that have been going on at the moment.

Adam Lambert – Time For Miracles – 2012

I have totally been in love with this song since hearing it for the first time a couple of weeks ago now. I thought Adam Lambert should have won American Idol, he really does have a fantastic voice. Now doing a song for movie “2012”, Time For Miracles, with clips from the movie in the video. I just love this song and think its brilliant. I am thinking maybe sometimes it is best not to win American Idol? This from a runner up, is fantastic. If only the X-Factor had talent like this eh?
