News: Weaving, Serkis & McKellen For Hobbit

Its about time that this got confirmed, it would not have worked doing “The Hobbit” with different actors as Gandalf, Lord Elrond and Gollum !!!

Here’s one to file under, “Well, duh! But also good”. Guillermo del Toro told Radio 5, as picked up by The One Ring.net, that Sir Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis and Hugo Weaving would be appearing in The Hobbit.It won’t come as any great surprise to, well, anyone, but it is welcome news that those members of the Lord of the Rings cast who also appear in The Hobbit will be playing the roles they originated in Del Toro’s sort-of prequel to Jackson’s trilogy.We’re due a Bilbo casting announcement any day now, but we hope that this tidbit of almost-news will keep you going until then.

News: Roberts Worried About Playing Bardem’s Love Interest

Awww I just love Jules, so much news about her the past few weeks and I just love it !!!

Julia Roberts is anxious to see how Javier Bardem will sweep her off her feet in their forthcoming film Eat, Pray, Love – after watching the actor’s violent performance in No Country For Old Men.

The actress is set to star alongside Richard Jenkins and Bardem, who falls in love with Roberts’ character during a worldwide journey of self-discovery in the movie, which is based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s best-selling 2006 memoir.

But the Hollywood beauty admits she is having trouble envisioning Bardem in the role of a hopeless romantic after watching him play an awkward-looking and compassionless killer in the 2007 Oscar-winning drama.

She says, “I can’t actually say I’m looking forward to it because I keep picturing him with that evil Beatles haircut. And that can (weapon) – what the hell is in that can? I have some reservations about this, but there are other nice people in the movie before he gets there.”

Filming is scheduled to begin in July and will take place in New York, Italy, India and Bali.

Roberts Rents New York Summer Houses

This has made me think OMG, as I did not realise she would be filming in NYC !!!

Julia Roberts is spending $150,000 (£100,000) renting two houses in New York while she shoots a new movie in Manhattan this summer.

The actress will spend three months in the Big Apple shooting new movie Eat, Pray, Love – and has reserved two posh apartments in the West Village.

Roberts will live in one of the properties with husband Danny Moder and their kids Hazel, Phinnaeus and Henry, while the other two-bedroom pad is for their nanny and staff.

News: Twilight Stars Gets Musical

I just love hearing things about the Twilight cast 🙂

Twilight star Peter Facinelli loves working on the vampire franchise – because the musical cast regularly get together for sing-a-long sessions.

The 35-year-old, who plays Robert Pattinson’s dad in the original film and in upcoming sequel New Moon, is a big fan of his onscreen son’s musical talents and admits the British star often picks up his guitar and plays for the other actors.

Facinelli tells the New York Daily News, “I love to hear Rob sing. He’s got an insanely good voice. Sometimes we all get together and he gets on the guitar and starts playing and singing. He writes his own material.”

And Pattinson, who recorded two songs for the Twilight soundtrack, isn’t the only one who has been keeping the cast entertained – his co-star Kristen Stewart has been learning music for her upcoming role as rocker Joan Jett.

Facinelli adds, “Kristen has taken up the guitar for the movie she’s doing. Everyone’s been carrying a guitar around.”

News: Cyrus Signs Up For Fourth Hannah Montana Season

YAY for another season of Hannah Montana . . . yes I am sad and happy about this, but it such a good show.

Miley Cyrus has thrilled fans of her Hannah Montana TV series and film franchise by signing on for a fourth season of the hit Disney show.

The 16 year old has starred in all three series of the kids’ favourite, in which she portrays a normal schoolgirl who becomes a pop star at night, but she admits she had doubts about reprising her role for another run.

She was convinced to step in front of the camera again after show executives promised to allow the teenager more control over the storylines.

A statement from The Disney Channel reads, “Miley and the producers have proposed a change of setting for Season Four that will provide the catalyst for wonderful new characters and further expand the storytelling opportunities.”

Filming is set to commence early next year.

News: Lutz: ‘Pattinson’s Muscles Are Real’

Haha, theres always some news on New Moon/ Robert/ Twilight Saga !!!

Robert Pattinson’s New Moon co-star Kellan Lutz has denied the actor resorted to make-up tricks to gain a muscled torso for the Twilight sequel.

The British star’s stomach has come under scrutiny from Internet gossips in recent weeks, with many speculating his muscled appearance is the result of clever shading by the film’s make-up artists.

But Lutz, who will appear alongside Pattinson in the vampire movie, insists his pal’s sexy body is down to months of hard work in the gym with co-star Taylor Lautner.

Lutz tells the New York Daily News, “Taylor been training Rob a lot, and that’s why he’s got such ripped abs. Rob’s been working hard. He’s trying to be the best he can be.”

News: Depp Honours Ledger With Snorkelling Cove

Johnny Depp has paid a personal tribute to the late Heath Ledger by naming a section of his private paradise island in the Bahamas after the tragic actor.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star owns Little Hall’s Pond Cay in the Caribbean and frequently travels there with his girlfriend Vanessa Paradis and their two children, Lily-Rose, 10, and Jack, seven.

Depp reveals he has renamed a prime snorkelling spot Heath’s Place, in memory of his pal, and admits the sunshine getaway provides the perfect place to unwind and escape from the pressures of Hollywood.

He tells Vanity Fair magazine, “I don’t think I’d ever seen any place so pure and beautiful.

“(Pond Cay life) is my decompression. It’s my way of trying to return to normalcy. Escapism is survival to me. You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats. It’s instant freedom. …And a little morsel of anonymity.

“Whenever I was getting frustrated about being ‘novelty boy’ and making movies, I told myself, Calm down. I can come down here and disappear. I spent the Christmas season here with Vanessa and the kids. You can feed hot dogs to the nurse sharks in the Exumas (the outer islands of the Bahamas) – but it’s best to not swim when doing it.”

Ledger died from an accidental prescription drug overdose in January 2008.

Depp is one of three actors who have stepped in to take over Ledger’s role in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, his last unfinished project, alongside Colin Farrell and Jude Law.
