I received this via email in the past few days and thought I would share it with everyone! I guess it just helps to confirm why When Harry Met Sally is one of my all time favourite films!
Love is in the air and hearts are aflutter for a rom-com binge this Valentine’s Day, with global searches for “top romantic comedies” having risen by 350% in the last 7 days*. But among our favourite classics and modern romantic comedies, which are the cheesiest?
Interested in finding out, OnBuy.com analysed all romantic occurrences in our favourite flicks to reveal how often we’re hit by a cheesy cliché.
A few weeks ago now the latest additions to the Rotten Tomatoes critics were revealed and I applied again after applying many years ago now and never getting a reply. This year though I got a rejection, which I felt was better than nothing. My feedback wasn’t great and was directed at my reviews (or some of them anyway) not having enough substance to them and errors. I was a little bit gutted about it to be honest when I first read it.
But.
It then reminded me of something, I do Let’s Go To The Movies as a hobby and started because I was going to the cinema so often and wanted to use this blog as a place to review the films I was watching. I never ever thought twelve years ago when starting it that it would still be going strong now and that I would have been in a list four years in row of Top 10 UK Film Blogs, something I have fallen out of the past two years. I don’t get paid for reviewing films, I actually pay quite a bit myself for the domain and upgrades to have more photo and video space. I do get the occasional screeners but it’s not a source of income and never will be.
Welcome to week 6! That’s right everybody we are going back in time for this weeks Friday Fake Cinema Club, I always had this planned when seeing Netflix were going to have it added (again, as I am sure it has been on the streaming service before). I still remember seeing it at the cinema back in 2006, it instantly became a cult film with myself and friends.
Starring: The main man Samuel L. Jackson its a total crazy and fun ride, also lets face it snakes on an actual plane would be one of the worst things ever wouldn’t it!
This is something I have been putting together for quite a long time now and I have held off posting it or even attempting to start the blog post in fear that I have forgotten and somehow missed a favourite film from the list. Barring in mind I got up to 72 films and then had to cut it down to the 50. I would like to make clear these are my favourite films, some might have happened to win Oscars as well and some certainly have not at all. The way I have decided on my favourites is the sheer joy they bring and the number of rewatches I have had over the years. While I have listed 1-50 a lot of them can be shifted around and changed with each other. It is going to highlight my love for musicals and for certain actors and actresses! I doubt it will contain many surprises though!

Laurel has become content in his absence as he was an unpleasant and abusive husband, she had plans to marry neighbour Orin Meacham who had been helping on the farm and with her young son.
Today marks 12 years since starting Let’s Go To The Movies and in that time I have blogged a lot about the films I truly adore and love, although also come across I don’t like and sometimes hate. Isn’t that one of the best things about watching films though? I certainly think so the discussion around films you just got and the ones you just didn’t.
Thanks to everyone for the support over these past 12 years, it has seen Let’s Go To The Movies make a UK Top 10 Film Blog four years in a row, but since been a couple of years now since making that list. I’ve done well though going for this long on just a little hobby right?

I thought this year I would celebrate with Harry and Sally, one of the greatest film moments of all time, considering it took them 12 years and 3 months to get together and married after their first meeting.
