Natalie is struggling with her life, no one noticing her and has given up on love. She claims to hate romantic comedies it probably doesn’t help that her own mother told her that doesn’t happen for women like them! One day though she hits her head and as she wakes her whole life has become a romantic comedy.

Having preordered this two POP figures almost a year ago after The Shape of Water picked up the Best Picture at the Oscars, they have arrived! They were supposed to get released in October 2018. But that didn’t happen, no panic though as March 2019 and they have arrived!
Bridget must return back home to Chicago to help her brother Nick and father Burt as they struggle to deal with how Ruth is declining in her battle with Alzheimer’s.

This is based on the true story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her struggle for equal rights and battling to be able to actually practice law after attending Harvard and Columbia. This film looks at the early cases of her historic career which really did manage to change everything!

This is always my favourite photo from any Oscar ceremony when they have all four of the acting winners pose together. So this year we have Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), Olivia Colman (The Favourite), Regina King (If Beale Street Could Talk) and Mahershala Ali (Green Book).
Nim Rusoe lives on an isolated island with her father scientist Jack Rusoe, who is doing research around the marine life. Nim communicates with author Alex Rover as she is currently reading the latest novel. When her father is missing after a storm she confines in Alex for much-needed help.

Hannibal Lecter has been living in exile since his escape and tries to reconnect with FBI Agent Clarice Starling but someone else is also looking for him and it doesn’t appear everything is going to work out in his favour this time.

This is always the biggest talking point of any Oscar ceremony and which film will walk away with the title of being Best Picture. I seem to have a love/hate relationship with the winners of this category over the years. It seems to be either my favourite film that wins it or the film I hate the most from the nominees.
This year I feel its been a very strange and odd awards season, with that I don’t really have a film that I totally love out of these eight nominated films. None in this years batch I totally love and I don’t particularly hate with a passion either. I just feel rather neutral towards them. I am hoping that by putting together this blog post that I might be able to make my mind up a little bit more. I just feel as though it is a very weak year in terms of the quality of the films. We shall soon see, so let’s take one more look at the eight films up for the most prestigious honour in film . . .
