Manchester Lift-Off Film Festival Is Coming To Chapel Town Picturehouse!

Lift-Off Global Network will be returning to Manchester with an array of live events for the fifth edition of the Manchester Lift-Off Film Festival. The festival will run the week commencing 21st March, with screenings held at Chapel Town Picturehouse, the Mancunion home of indie and cult film!

In addition to private members screenings, there will be a series of public events, containing some of the Lift-Off Global Network Season Award winners from 2021, as well as a showcase solely dedicated to screening local British talent. All of the screenings conclude with networking and a meet a greet with the festival organisers!

‘THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION’ ONE OF THE WORLD’S MOST LOVED FILMS OF ALL TIME HAS BEEN RECENTLY RESTORED IN 4K AND IS BACK IN VUE CINEMAS ACROSS THE UK AND IRELAND FROM THIS WEEK

One of the greatest films of all time – THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION (1994) will be back in VUE cinemas nationwide from this Friday 18th March. It will be the first time cinema audiences in the UK and Ireland can see the film in all its 4K restored glory.
 
Nominated for seven Academy Awards categories and the number one rated movie on IMDb’s Top 250 list, Frank Darabont’s movie Shawshank Redemption (1994) is still considered to be one of the best movies of all time. It was voted the greatest film of all time by Empire readers in “The 201 Greatest Movies of All Time” poll undertaken in March 2006.

British crime thriller The Bezonians starring Vinnie Jones and Marina Sirtis set for UK release from 2nd May

From the creator of Smoking GunsOriginal Gangster and Red Rage comes Savvas D. Michael’s latest crime thriller, The Bezonians. The film will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Download from 2nd May. 

The film stars ex-footballer and film hard-man Vinnie Jones (Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels / Snatch), alongside Marina Sirtis (Star Trek), Lois Brabin-Platt (Bull) and Andreas Karras (Smoking Guns) with Director Savvas D. Michael also starring.
