The music video for “The Wrestler” both movie and song of the same name. Appeared on youtube the other day, a friend sent me the link to it and it only had a couple of hundred views. But today when I have just clicked on the link it has over 28,000 views at the moment. This was over the past couple of days. For those who haven’t seen the fantastic music video with Bruce Springsteen in the ring:
Doubt (2008) Review
I have doubts. I have such doubts.

The setting for this film which is based on a play, is 1964 at St. Nicholas school in the Bronx. The Principal Sister Aloysius Beauvier (Meryl Streep) who loves nothing more than to terrify the children as she is a big believer in discipline. Sister James (Amy Adams) has just started teaching and does not have any of the same mannerisms as Sister Aloysius. Father Flynn (Philip Seymour Hoffman) a well liked priest is popular in the local community with the Sunday masses he does the sermon for.

Frost/Nixon (2008) Review
Why didn’t you burn the tapes?

I can imagine at the time and probably still now that was the first question everyone would have been thinking. With such a scandal why weren’t the tapes exposed of in some way or form. I mean it seems as though everyone involved was waiting for the tapes to be found. You cant exactly deny it if you have been recorded saying certain things. I didn’t really know too much about the interview before seeing the film, although I do have the actual interviews on DVD but have not got round to watching them yet, just to see the difference and how much drama was added to make the film a bit more entertaining.

The Reader (2008) Review

Nominated for Best Picture at this years Oscars. Kate Winslet is also nominated in the Leading Role might I add. This seemed to cause some confusion with Kate winning supporting role at the Golden Globe awards.

Milk (2008) Review
My name is Harvey Milk and I am here to recruit you!

Harvey Milk was the first openly gay politician to be elected in the United States, in the state of California. The film shows Milk’s life from when he first moved to San Fransisco with Scott to the many different elections he fought to win. It took a lot of time for this to happen, but eventually he gets elected.

The Wrestler (2008) Review

Randy “The Ram” Robinson is a faded professional wrestler who should not be taking part in the sport anymore. Due to his health he really should be retired, but that is not going to stop him with one last bout as he struggles with his new found life outside of the ring.

Revolutionary Road (2008) Review
How do you break free without breaking apart?

I guess the tagline is a great place to start on describing the film, as that was the main problem between Frank (Dicapro) and his wife April (Winslet). Its obvious that in the beginning they really did love each other so much, but over the years after moving to a house and having two children this condemned their relationship to turn to hate as they both blamed one another for not making it in what they wanted to do.
