Harry Potter Challenge – Day 11: What character would you say you are most like

Not for the know-it-all brainy side of her, I’m not stupid but not as smart as Hermione. I am thinking more than she has two male best friends and doesn’t seem to get on with other girls as well as she does with the boys. That’s what I’ve mainly been like, very rare that I’ve had female best friends for very long. I just find males much easier to get on with, the same as Hermione.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 10: Horcruxes or Hallows

For this one I’m going for Horcruxes mainly because I think its brilliant that Voldemort split his soul into so many pieces. Which everyone thought was so impossible. For Dumbledore to then start finding them and explaining to Harry that they must all be destroyed before Voldemort can die.

How manipulative each horcrux can be, with the diary possessing Ginny Weasley and the necklace making Harry/Ron and Hermione see very strange things if they wore it for too long. Just showing how powerful Voldemort really is.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 9: Least fave male character

Wormtail/Peter Pettigrew

Probably a very obvious and popular choice for this one! We aren’t supposed to like him at all, after what he done to Harry’s parents and Sirius Black. But he has to be my least favorite character in the whole series. Not one good thing can be said about him at all. Don’t forget that he was Ron’s pet rat Scabbers for a while as well, which just makes him even worse.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 8: What do you think would be your fave lesson

Transfiguration

Mainly because I think it would be cool to turn an object into something different. Plus Professor McGonagall whilst strict does seem very cool at the same time. Being Griffindor’s head of house is a big pull towards that lesson too.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 7: Fave female character and why

Without a doubt my favorite female character is Hermione Granger. She grows so much from the very start of it all until the end. Her intelligence helps out Harry and Ron a lot and they would not have got anywhere without her help. Always coming up with the best ideas and so likable.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 6: What house would you want to be in

If you got to choose which Hogwart’s house you were in between, Griffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. That is an easy choice and just has to be Griffindor. The house which values courage, bravery, loyalty, nerve and chivalry. Its mascot is the lion, and its colours are scarlet and gold.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 5: Fave male character and why

My favorite male character has to be Albus Brian Wulfric Percival Dumbledore. He is just such a fantastic character with so much depth and so many levels. It is so easy to love him, particularly in the books. I feel in the films he doesn’t get as much time as he deserved from reading the books. Even when we start to doubt him the Deathly Hallows, we should know better than to doubt a great wizard like Dumbeldore.

Harry Potter Challenge- Day 4: Least fave female character and why

My least favorite female character has to be Dolores Umbridge. Throughout ‘Order of the Phoenix’ in both the book and film she is just so annoying that it quite unreal. Although well done to filmmakers for managing to get the character from the page to the screen and keep her characteristics so well.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 3: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book

The two main parts which I felt were very important in the books yet over looked in the films were when Ron and Hermione become prefects and Harry did not. This allowed us to see where some of the anger came between them, with them having to do the prefect duties and leaving Harry alone (especially on the train to school).

The other has to be when Percy falls out with his family and no longer speaks to them, this was massive in the books. Yet nothing in the films. I thought it was important, due to how close the Weasley family are. Which goes across quite a few of the books, and he just isn’t really mentioned at all in the films. I am sure they could have at least had a few references in the films without a massive increase to the running time.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 2: Your fave movie

Another tough decision but I went with Prisoner of Azkaban, as it was the start of the films getting darker and having a little bit more edge to them. Allowing us to find out more about what happened the night Harry’s parents were killed and the first meeting with Sirius Black who we find out is Harry’s godfather.
