THE 30 DAY HARRY POTTER CHALLENGE . . . THE END

I think I started the 30 day Harry Potter challenge at just the right time, to have it finishing days before the final film is released in theatres. I found it very good going through each day and deciding my favorite or least favorite characters and things about the franchise. A very good challenge for any Potter fan to have a look back at everything about the series.

I also feel a certain sense of achievement by finishing the 30 day challenge. I tried a normal film one a couple of months back and it totally failed at about 14 days. So a good achievement right in time for the final film coming out in two days . . . or three days.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 30: What affect has Harry Potter made on your life and how much does it mean to you

I think it made me realise how incredible books can be if they are written in such a fantastic way and how much you can fall in love with a different world. You are taken on an amazing journey and can relate to everything the three main characters go through and how difficult it really is growing up. The things you are put through at school and what everything means to you as you do grow.

We love Hogwart and wish we could have gone to school there and that magic and wizards are actually real. It is incredible how J.K. Rowling managed to create all of this in such incredible depth.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 29: Did you enjoy A Very Potter Musical

I have not seen any of ‘A Very Potter Musical’

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 28: Do you listen to Wizard Wrock, what do you think about it

I have never listened to Wizard Wrock . . .

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 27: Would you rather own The Invisibility Cloak, The Resurrection Stone or The Elder Wand

Without a doubt the invisibility cloak . . . the things you could find out and do without anyone having any idea of what you are up to. I think that would just be the best thing!

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 26: If you could be able to work one spell without a wand what would it be

Expecto Patronum to create a Patronus would probably be one of the best spells to be able to use without a wand!

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 25: Nineteen years later. Are you happy how it turned out, or do you wish something was different

In all honesty I am not entirely sure if I was completely happy with it all. I was never a big fan of Harry and Ginny together to find out they stayed together all of those years. But I guess it was a nice way to tie everything all up. But maybe a few years later rather than 19 years later would have been a little bit better? Or just leaving it all for us to decide what happened to them all would have been another option. But Rowling does have the whole Harry Potter world stories so I guess she knows best!

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 24: Any particular scene you wished would have been put in the movie but it wasn’t

I wish we could have had the whole prefect story-line in the films as I felt it was a very important part in the book, just showing something that caused some friction between Harry/Ron and Hermione. As it did give a little edge between them and made sense of why Harry had felt a little more alone. I can understand why they took this out as a prefect would not travel well to different countries as I am assuming it is a very English school thing!

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 23: Any part of the books/movies that makes you cry

The worst part of the books which made me cry had to be the death of both Tonks and Lupin. It really had me sobbing as they had become my favorite relationship in the books and was so shocked when they died. It was not a nice moment at all. But then to have that followed by the truth about Snape, I found myself crying constantly whilst reading the last book. Everyone just seemed to be getting killed off! But the Tonks/Lupin was the worst crying moment, I just hope I will be able to hold myself together whilst watching the final film.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 22: Harry Potter or Twilight

No contest at all it has to be Harry Potter. Twilight should not even be mentioned alongside Potter! They do of course have one person in common and that’s Robert Pattinson who has appeared in both franchises. Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga.
