7 Good Paul Rudd Films

I still can’t help but think of Paul Rudd as Mike from Friends, but he certainly has come a very long way over the past twenty years. He certainly seems to be one of the most popular actors to take on the comedy genre and even taken that across to become a Superhero as well, a tiny little ant. Each role he makes his own and I am finding myself becoming more of a fan with each film I watch him in!

7 Worst Films I’ve Sat Through at the Cinema – Part 2

When you see a lot of films at the cinema you are bound to see some awful ones. You can refresh your memory on the first 7 films I picked here. I have decided to follow it up after seeing The Boss on Wednesday, it was awful but not quite made it into the lists yet!

Have you been unlucky enough to watch any of the following films?

7 Best Film Fathers

As it is Father’s Day I thought I would pick my 7 favourite film dads! Very tough to actually just settle on the 7 in the end.

A Timely Blogathon

a-timely-blogathon-1_zpsb5yo5deq

As movie bloggers, we all need to find the time and energy to juggle both tasks of watching a movie and then writing our review of it online.

They can be very time consuming activities, so Anna (of Film Grimoire) and Rob (MovieRob) have thought of a temporary solution.

It’s a very timely theme and this Blogathon will be all about Time-saving movies, 90 minutes or less.

You can pick any movie (or movies) that your heart desires as long as it’s official run time is less than 90 minutes.

7 Worst Film Mothers

As it is Mother’s Day (in the UK at least) I decided that I would then pick my 7 worst film mothers. You certainly would not want any of these to be your mother as they certainly did not help their children have, but some of them might just redeem themselves in the end?

Kate – Home Alone

Leaving your son behind when heading on holiday is a pretty awful thing to do. Kevin had an amazing time being home all alone after his whole family jetted off for Christmas without him. We will give it to Kate that she had a feeling something was wrong, but not checking you have all your children was a very bad move. I guess airports have changed a lot since the early 90s and they wouldn’t get that far to this day. We will give her points for doing everything she can to then get back to Kevin as soon as possible.

Molly Weasley – Harry Potter Series

harry-potter_2408268a_zpswx4wc58s

What better way to start off the list than with Molly Weasley played so fantastically by Julie Walters ever present in the series and a brilliant mother to all of her children. As well as taking it upon herself to then look after Harry. Her best moment coming when stepping up to fight against Bellatrix in the finale. Certainly someone you would love to have as your mother, always looking out for you and a standard knitted sweater for Christmas!

The 7 Worst People at the Cinema

In the last couple of weeks I had my worst ever cinema going experience. Two men sat behind me were incredibly rude, it all started with stupidly copying everything in the adverts. I was just hoping that it would stop for the film, unfortunately not. They kept talking and laughing at things that were not funny (the film was Room for gods sake) as well as constantly kicking the back of my seat and the one next to me. I was alone so did not want to say anything incase it made it all worse and caused a scene in the screen. Massive thanks to Cineworld though for the gift they sent me because of this!

From that it got me thinking about the worst people you come up against when going to the cinema. You know the people you don’t actually understand why they even bothered to come into a dark room and watch a film when they are clearly not even interested a tiny bit in what they are watching.

7 Reasons to love Jennifer Lawrence

After seeing Joy last week and then catching Jennifer on the Graham Norton show it inspired me to do this blog post. She comes across so cool and that she does not have a care in the world on a chat show and has already played some great characters in film! At the age of 25 she already has an Oscar win to her name for Silver Linings Playbook as well as two other nominations for Winter’s Bone and American Hustle.

7 Films for New Year’s Eve

As 2015 is coming to a close and we are about to start 2016 I thought the perfect way to do that was to take a look back in the film world at films which have fantastic New Year’s Eve scenes or moments. Might be a little bit strange considering I am not really a very big fan of New Year in all honesty and don’t have any plans myself for tonight. It probably doesn’t help that 2015 has been a truly awful year for me, but the less said about that the better. So what better way than to disappear into the world of film and see characters have some great and maybe interesting New Year’s Eve moments?

I do enjoy a good rendition of Auld Lang Syne though in all honesty and you will see that by some of the choices below!

7 Films that surprised me in 2015

Probably the best feeling is when your not really sure about going to see a film and you end up enjoying it. You find it to be a lot more insightful than you first thought and leave the cinema feeling glad that you decided to see that film that maybe didn’t have the best trailer going, or the story you thought would be predictable. I think it’s important to log which films leave you feeling like this, as when you see one you hate you can remember the element of surprise to keep you going!
