The Final Potter Premiere

Yesterday evening saw the final Harry Potter premiere take place in Trafalgar Square, with what was possibly the biggest red carpet ever linking to Leicester Square. The premiere was broadcast live around the world, and yes I did find myself watching for a few hours. It was a very emotional experience for everyone involved, even watching it all unfold. The cast members were clearly overwhelmed by the amount of fans who were stretched around the stages and red carpet. Such unbelievable scenes in London. All of the cast members spent plenty of time signing autographs and posing for photographs.

Watching live we had interviews and words from all of the different cast members. To finish with we had the three biggest stars of the films, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Joined by J.K. Rowling herself and the films producers. This lead to emotional speeches taking place and causing each other to get emotional and the tears began to flow. The realisation that this was the last time they would ever have a world premiere for a Potter film and they would never experience anything like that ever again.

This time next week I would have seen the film already for myself as attending a 00:05 showing on Friday 15th July. What I am seeing as a brilliant start to my birthday weekend. Although if my worst crying moment in the books is put into the film in more of a visual way I may indeed leave the cinema in pieces. I am looking forward to the film, but at the same time I really do not want it to be over at all.

Harry Potter Challenge – Day 20: If you had to meet one member of the cast, who would it be

Alan Rickman

He would be my choice of the cast member I would love to meet. He is such a fantastic actor and has done so many great films, with incredible performances. How many different roles he has taken on over the years and how he became Snape. Exactly as you would picture Snape.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011) Trailer 2

After the utter excitement of seeing the first trailer on the big screen for the first time yesterday (it’s attached to ‘Green Lantern’). A second trailer for the most anticipated film of the year has been released, it is another brilliant trailer! Cranking up the anticipation to the release in a months time!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (2011) Posters – The Battle

Eleven more posters have been released for the final Potter film, mainly all character posters from the Battle of Hogwarts. Along with Griphook the Goblin who plays a very important part in the final film. They really are starting to crank up the build up more and more. I cannot wait! I am a little disappointed that Molly Weasley does not have her own poster in this set, let’s hope they do give her one!

Harry Potter Blogathon – A Celebration

As everyone has probably noticed I have been going rather crazy on the Harry Potter posts, getting caught up with the film reviews and posting the new posters coming out of the Deathly Hallows. I have almost finished reading all of the books (for the very first time) and utterly spellbound by them. I thought it would be appropriate as the time is approaching for the end of the film series, that a blogathon would be a good idea.

If you have any Harry Potter related posts you would like to link from my blog, just let me know. By commenting or email. I think we should all celebrate how incredible the Harry Potter series has been for film. We will have this going on from now until 15th August. Giving plenty of time after the July 15th release of the final film.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (2011) Poster – Snape

The next in our almost daily fix of the Harry Potter final posters, is the character poster for Snape! Who’s next I wonder?

Best of British in Harry Potter

The Harry Potter film series has done wonders for the British film industry over the years and also been able to showcase so many talents in the films as well. We certainly do see the best of British in the series. Some with big parts throughout all (or most) of the films. While others have smaller parts, or even just cameos. But they really have been such a credit for showcasing the talent which is on offer in Britain. A lot of the actors and actress are held in high regard in the theatre world. Some of my favorite actors and actress have appeared in the film series which is so refreshing to see so many of them in the same films.

A lot of well-respected actors appear in the films bringing life to the much-loved characters from the books.

Alan Rickman – Severus Snape

A very well-loved actor who always seems to be the bad guy. But is he always the bad guy in the Potter series? Well that’s the difficult thing to figure out. One minute you love Snape and the next you hate him, you love to hate him and I don’t think anyone but Rickman could have you thinking that about a character.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) Review

We head back to Hogwarts for second year. Although something or someone is trying to stop Harry from getting back. He receives no letters from Ron or Hermione over the summer, then cannot get through the barrier at King’s Cross to get on the Hogwarts express. But what is he being warned against?
