Last night I received an email about this film and because Angela Lansbury is involved it really grabbed my attention. Then watching the trailer it really does look like it is going to be such a lovely film! With impressive cast members and a nice story at the core.

We don’t really have too long to wait now for the return of Mary Poppins and I have to admit that I completely love this trailer! It really shows the magic they have created with the character we already love so much. Also I didn’t know about some of the cast!

Happy 91st Birthday Angela Lansbury!

The incredible Angela Lansbury turns 91 today and I thought what better way than to mention how fantastic she was in Blithe Spirit in 2014 and seeing her head inside at the stage door! A true legend of stage and screen.

Happy Birthday Dame Angela!

7 Incredible Films in Paris

With the absolutely horrendous and tragic events that happened in Paris over the weekend I thought I would put some focus on 7 incredible films (some of them all time favourites of mine) which are set or have a very big link to Paris in the film. It is an incredible city which I was lucky to visit on a school trip but did not fully appreciate all of the culture and buildings at 15 years old, I am sure I would appreciate it all a lot more now. The key thing about Paris by the films I have picked seems to be romance.

RIP Omar Sharif

I had to pay respect to the actor following his death a few days ago. He is in a film that means a lot to me Mrs ‘Arris Goes to Paris, I bet hardly anyone has even heard of it!

Fangirl Moments – Angela Lansbury and Imelda Staunton!

Even though I am now 27 years old I still cannot help it and still become a fangirl every now and then. After seeing these pictures this morning or maybe late last night and see Gypsy on stage yesterday I just had to create this brand new feature. So if I see a photo of some of my favourite actors/actresses together then you may well just see another addition to Fangirl Moments!

But seriously though Dame Angela Lansbury the last person to play Momma Rose in the West End (4o years ago) with current West End Momma Rose Imelda Staunton ❤ It’s just brilliant!

2014 at the Theatre

In 2014 I managed to go and see 15 musicals and plays on stage in both the North East (Sunderland Empire or Theatre Newcastle) as well as trips to London to see them in the West End. I also caught Monty Python and a concert of Elaine Paige. It has been an incredible year for going to see plenty of shows and live acting. I honestly didn’t realise I had seen so many until getting ready to do this blog post.

Along with seeing an absolute icon in Elaine Paige in her farewell concert, I also managed a last-minute trip to see the legend of Angela Lansbury on her return to the West End after 30 years in Blithe Spirit. But it doesn’t stop there, I got to meet one of my favourite actors Bill Nighy after the incredible Skylight and an added bonus of Carey Mulligan! What a day that was.
