I did something special last month in terms of a cinema trip and all in one day, back to back I got to experience one of my favourite trilogies on the big screen again. This was the first time I had watched them one after the other on the big screen though and it was enjoyable as ever (well maybe changing the trailers before each one might have been a little bit better but never mind).

Sad news broke this morning that iconic actor Val Kilmer passed away yesterday at the age of 65. Well known for his role of Batman in Batman Forever, Ice Man in Top Gun and Jim Morrison in The Doors. In 2014 he suffered from throat cancer which had a big impact on his life as well as his acting career. I was lucky enough to do a photo op with him a London Comic Con back in 2019. Rest in peace Val ❤️
Not really sure how that’s happened but today is my birthday and I am 35 years old! But let’s still have a Batman cake like a 5 year old would get! 😂
Bruce Wayne must continue to deal with the usual suspects and protect Gotham City as they plan on ruling it, balancing his life as Batman this is about to take an interesting twist when he accidentally adopts a teenage orphan who wishes to become his sidekick.

Over the past few years I have found myself buying a new Christmas jumper, mainly for Christmas Day each year and have gone for film related ones in recent times. Although rather disappointing when hardly anyone actually knew that my Golden Girls jumper was in fact the Golden Girls. You can get some outstanding ones now which is why I decided to put together this blog post to highlight just how amazing some of the Christmas jumpers are and they appeal to pretty much every single fandom! Whatever you love the most you are guaranteed to find a jumper for that somewhere!
You can get a lot that are in sweatshirt style but I still personally prefer the proper trashy jumper style and when you add in film they really do have some great levels of detail on them.

Two new posters have been released for The Batman and it certainly is going to be a good build up for this film coming out.
This is something I have been putting together for quite a long time now and I have held off posting it or even attempting to start the blog post in fear that I have forgotten and somehow missed a favourite film from the list. Barring in mind I got up to 72 films and then had to cut it down to the 50. I would like to make clear these are my favourite films, some might have happened to win Oscars as well and some certainly have not at all. The way I have decided on my favourites is the sheer joy they bring and the number of rewatches I have had over the years. While I have listed 1-50 a lot of them can be shifted around and changed with each other. It is going to highlight my love for musicals and for certain actors and actresses! I doubt it will contain many surprises though!
Continue reading “Let’s Go To The Movies – 50 Favourite Films!”With the DC FanDome taking place online yesterday the first look at Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the teaser trailer for The Batman was released. It really does really build the suspense for this film and will hopefully shut up the haters towards Pattinson. We are getting The Riddler and Penguin in this one!
I totally forgot just how impressive this scene is from Batman (1989) and with Jack Nicholson in the role as the Joker doing a fantastic dance to Partyman by Prince. It really is just one of those scenes where the music fights so perfectly with the characters and film as a whole.
